I do like the smell of these but I wouldn’t say it’s like a room air freshener… does it absorb and eliminate odors? Maybe for a few days… I tend to use them in the urine part once we get to about 40 on the scoopfree ultra counter (that’s about week 3 for me) around 40 is when the pee begins to saturate the crystals and it has about 10-20 more uses left. I also sprinkle these in the poop chamber and it keeps the smell down. I empty the poop weekly on trash day. ... show more

I use wood pellet litter and while absorbancy is great, the odor control sometimes isn't. I put these crystals into an old Parmesan cheese shaker bottle and just sprinkle some of them on top of the boxes in-between cleanings. Gets rid of overwhelming odor within the hour, usually through the next day. The original bottle design is awful, though. The large bottle is hard to hold, and if you use the cap to measure the crystals they get stuck in the cap when you try and screw it back on. ... show more
