Bought this to fix up an old iPhone XS to give to my mom as a replacement for her old iPhone 6. Super easy to install and seemingly good quality as far as the display goes. It was a great fix for two days, until the screen stopped responding to touches. Can't even swipe up to unlock anymore, so it's literally useless. I've tried a couple hard restarts and one time it started working again, for like thirty seconds. Going to try to open it up again and see if maybe something got knocked loose, but I don't have high hopes. ***UPDATE: Great customer service - Rachel provided help and a replacement screen, and this one works mostly great. The first screen stopped responding completely, but the replacement works great 90% of the time - sometimes it needs two fingers on the screen for swiping, as if one finger isn't "big" enough to be recognized or something. It's not a phone that's being used for lots of gaming or anything like that, so that's serviceable. Again, great communication and customer service to help make things right. ... show more

I purchased this Iphone Xs screen replacement after dropping my iphone and breaking my screen. The product arrived safely, quickly, and packaged well for secure transport. The product did not include instructions but rather a QR code which links to various Youtube videos (not the Brand's YT videos either, just random YT videos that display how to replace screens.) This product also did not include the same tools as displayed in the YT videos so you have to decide which tools they are referring to. Installation was highly difficult and not for the faint of heart. The screws are extremely tiny and you definitely have the possibility of severely damaging the phone further. In hindsight I should have simply paid the extra little bit and taken it to a mobile repair shop (I still will due to the problems I am experiencing). I followed the "iphone Xs" screen replacement video and it took roughly an hour and a half. From *looks* alone you could assume that it was a flawless installation. I ensured to test my phone prior to re-assembly as the video suggested. I assumed that the problems I was experiencing (during the testing and before full re-assembly) was due to the screen not fully being installed during testing. After the full re-assembly I turned the phone on and immediately could notice the difference in quality and touch response. Simple tasks such as swiping up to access my iphone was not responsive...it takes 4-5 swipes before it registers. Entering my pin code seems to lag the phone out and it does not register 50% of my presses. The color of the display is noticeably dimmer and a slightly yellowish hue. I ensured to double check that day/night mode was NOT enabled. I ensured to adjust my display brightness to maximum settings. Browsing the reddit app was a nightmare and the phone continuously randomly upvoted things. "You get an upvote, YOU get an upvote! Everyone gets an upvote!" I placed my phone on the charger and was walking away when I heard my wife's voice "Hello? Honey are you there? Why did you call me?...Helllooo?". I was surprised because I had not even opened (or had the phone app running in background tasks) the phone app. I assumed it may have been a small oversight on my part. I spoke with my wife briefly, explained it was a possible pocket dial and noticed that even though I was on speakerphone and not holding nor touching the phone, several apps were opening randomly and the UI was going haywire. I hung up the call and pressed the side button to turn the screen off. Several minutes later I heard another faint voice of my mother..."Hello? Are you there? Is everything ok?? Hellloooo?". I was mortified that my phone was randomly calling people. The problems I am experiencing are not acceptable and this product is NOT 100% fully compatible, nor is it near the same quality as the original.
