    • Sturdy but thumb screws are annoying, and frame slats are tricky

I like they are nice and thick and do a decent job of keeping my mattress from sliding off the frame. Next time I would choose a different product though. At minimum I would get one that are hex / allen / phillips / flat head screws - definitely not the thumb screws. Main issue for me is my bed frame is metal with horizontal slats, and I am installing these brackets all along one side of my bed frame (rather than the top or the bottom), because my queen bed has long side against the wall like a sofa. This means I am fitting them between the gaps in my slats. They are barely narrow enough to fit between the slats. However, the thumb screws cannot properly turn bc they hit the slats! I can barely make it work with a lot of pulling/twisting on the slats, and using pliers on the thumb screws, but they are difficult to tighten and are not getting properly tight. I've been meaning to take a screw to home depot and buy some replacement screws with smallish heads that will work with an allen wrench. Other issue is the slats sit on a ledge, and that ledge has velcro on it, so there isn't much vertical height for the brackets to slide down onto. They barely go on enough to work, but combined with the issue above, they wiggle loose every so often. My black metal frame is also at about the max width capacity for these brackets. The brackets install fine on the top and bottom edges of the frame, but that is not where I need them. ... show more

Bought these because my husband and I have a split king mattress and we needed something to keep them from drifting apart. This looked like a great option. However upon arrival, there is no way this was designed for an adult bed. The length of the anker bar that goes under the mattress is maybe 2" long, and the rest of the length is where the screw down point is. We needed the bar itself to be at least 4 inches to reach the mountable location on the adjustable bedframe. Then the segment that is supposed to go up the side of the mattress is far too short. This product might be great for a 4 inch thick child's mattress, but that's about it. ... show more

Initially, these were a great solution to prevent my futon mattress from sliding down when the bed was in couch position. After about 2 months, 2 of the 4 mattress supports broke - the bent wire that prevented the mattress from sliding down broke off entirely.

I have a daybed in my living room and purchased another product for the front and sides. However, I got tired of the mattress constantly slipping backward toward the window, so I purchased these as the other item had been priced out of site. I will say that I like these better. The others occasionally fall off, but these babies seem like they are there to stay. I know some people say they will only work on a box spring, but I have these holding just the mattress in place and they have don the job well. They can be a little tricky to install when working in a tight space, but they are worth the effort. If I ever need more, I will purchased this brand again. ... show more
