Got this nice metal detector for a great price. It comes with a nice selection of accessories including gloves, headphones, shovel/pick, rain cover and backpack. It compares very favorably to much higher priced detectors. The screen is bright and has a backlight feature for bright sun. Very easy to assemble, no tools required. The handle is comfortable and extends easily for people of different heights. Clear sound through speaker and headphones. Easy to understand set up and use. The screen is very clear and the icons for the different metals are simple to understand. It emits different sounds and visuals for various metals. It had a sensitivity feature and a pin point setting for more accurate detection. I think this a great detector for children and adults from beginner to more advanced hobbyists. First time metal detecting. I live close to the beach, so have a good place to try it out. Very easy to store and transport in the backpack. Simple to put together. Super easy to read. Waterproof. I live on 5 acres that was once an old farm so I'd always wanted a metal detector to find scraps of metal that might be an issue in the pastures that my horses occupy. Usually, stuff at this price is junk but when taking out the pieces they seemed to be good quality. The tube is made of metal and has three extendable sections to adjust the length to match your height. The detecting coil is plastic coated, and the arm cuff and electronics assembly housing feel like good quality stiff plastic that would not break easily. I don't suspect that I'll have any issues with the build quality. I assembled the detector in about five minutes and went out to try it without reading the manual. I quickly found several pieces of metal buried in my front yard. Of course, it couldn't be a gold nugget right off the bat, right? But, still pretty cool to find things that have been buried for more than 20 years without me, knowing about it. I went in to read the user manual so I could understand what the different settings were on the electronics. The manual was clear and easy to understand. Probably more detailed than the average user needs but good to know it has those settings if I want to get into it more. Most of the time I think I'll be leaving it in automatic mode, waiting for it to beep that it's found something, and then switching it into pinpoint mode so I can zero in on the item. A couple of things I wish were different. The arm cuff clamping is fine, but there is a metal rib that runs along that tube to keep it from twisting. I find that I would like the handle to be slightly off-center to match the curve of my arm, but there is no way to do that with the way its designed. The piece of Velcro that holds the arm cuff on could be wider so it was more comfortable as well, but that's an easy fix. The accessories that come with it are not the best quality, but nice to be included as beginner items that I wouldn't of thought of purchasing. I do have to call out the gloves included that were so badly made that several of the finger openings were sewn shut. But I can say without a doubt this is one of the best inexpensive metal detectors I've ever used. I look forward to using it more to hopefully find any scraps that might cause a problem with the animals or find the secret treasure I dream is out there! ... show more

The media could not be loaded. I've never had a metal detector before so I was excited to give this one a try. It was very easy to assemble, the owners manual is easy to read and very informative on how to use it and explains how each mode works. It comes with gloves, a pick/ shovel combo w/ case, headphones and a great case to carry it all in. For the price it outperformed my expectations. I used it around my house and found all kinds of old nails and stuff. It is adjustable to fit tall or short people. Very reasonable for any beginner treasure hunters. It work as it should.     • Impressive metal detector
I purchased another metal detector before this one and was disappointed. It was plasticky, flimsy, and it didn't work consistently once it touched water. This one on the other hand was very impressive. Starting off with the packaging it has a nice box and things are packaged neatly and tightly inside. The extension poles require quarter turn to loosen the height adjustment similar to high-end tripods. The pole aluminum, light weight and very sturdy. The length like could fit for someone over 6 ft as well as my my kids who are under 4 ft. They had fun with this at the beach and though I didn't find anything impressive, they had fun exploring along with their imagination. I was able to use this at home looking for nails which dropped through our decking. This was able to find dozen's nails which ended up in the dirt below. I had much more peace of mind felt after walking through one pass with this thing and picking up all the leftover nails from a roofing project. I've had tetanus and lockjaw at one point in life and I wouldn't wish it on my kids. Once you're done using it, it takes about a minute to disassemble everything. If it's in a nice bag that they've included. This is a great product. It might not be a professional item but it is a high quality item. I would highly recommend it. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. I’ve wanted a metal detector since I was a kid… a long time ago! :) I really didn’t know what to expect but I was pleasantly surprised. There’s a lot in this kit. I added a trenching shovel and garden hand shovel. The display is easy to read and gives you a lot of info including type of metal and depth. The pinpoint mode is awesome! I also find it comfortable to swing back or forth for as long as I want. I live in a rural part of central Jersey. I haven’t found much yet, except for an important riding mower screw, but hoping to find some 1800s artifacts. I think I found some Native American tools. Will check with a local who knows more about this. If I find anything cool, or explore some more features, I’ll check back. Enjoy! ... show more
