Bought these fans for 4th of July bbq as we needed some bug deterrent. Put 1 of them on each end of our large 6 person table and it kept flies & mosquitos away. 1st time we didn't have to swat flies away from the food. Highly recommend for outdoor parties when you don't want to keep food covered.

It does scatter flies when on. Although when off they would sit on top of it. I would recommend buying rechargeable batteries as if these are constantly on the batteries will last 2 to 3 days.
