Once I got it open I was able to push the door and bend the metal so that the door would fit better and the lock with lock it was not locking and unlocking. I decided to order a bigger one for my needs. It is kind of difficult to have a 10-inch envelope fit through the opening. I bought this for my 7yr old to use as a piggy bank/safe for his weekly allowance. The slot was perfect and I really wanted this to work. The key pad did not open the safe. Only key worked. I got a replacement hoping to have better luck. The replacement was an obvious return from another customer. Of course it also had the exact problem as the original one I ordered.
