I ordered this because I liked the idea of being able to switch out the weights at the end. I've been trying to slowly get back into exercising and didn't have a lot of room to just have a bunch of different exercise equipment. I've been using this almost every other day with 15 lbs dumbbells since I got this and so far I still like it. You DO need to be wary about the length and width of the barbell handle that you use otherwise it might slide while you lift. This does come with 2 different inner padding sizes to help. This product is horribly built the screws. These two little screws are only threaded into the female side 3/16 of an inch. Do you guys really think that’s gonna hold 100 pounds on each side?

I have been assembling a home gym over the past year and I have quite a few awesome pieces. But, I’m also always looking to add things, so when I came across this item, I was so excited. I recently got one that is similar, but only a curl bar, so I wanted a straight barbell such as this. So, I went ahead and placed an order for it, but I was surprised when it arrived because it was in a smaller square box, whereas my other one arrived in a long narrow package. But when I opened it, it’s simply in pieces that you attached to each other and it’s very simple to set up and it does not compromise the integrity of the bar whatsoever. I have bowflex 552 adjustable weights and it fits them absolutely perfect. I would guess it fits most standard size dumbbells. They connect very easy and they’re really strong and secure. I was able to lift quite a lot of weight with ease. So if you’re someone with limited space or only have dumbbells, then this is the item for you. Look no further as far as what you can use for your home. This is absolutely awesome. I give it a very enthusiastic five stars and I’m so excited to have this. I used with Bowflex 552 dumbbells and everything worked and the bar was solid. Unfortunately after about three uses, one of the screw you use to secure the dumbbell in place no longer works. Like if I open the clamp and screw it in, it’ll screw in. But if I close the clamp and try to secure it close. It just keeps spinning, like it’s not long enough to reach the threads anymore. Don’t know what happened. I usually baby my things and it worked at first. I didn’t throw it, drop it and it didn’t fall so I’m lost. I threw the box away. Now I can’t return it ... show more
