I was hesitant to purchase this product because I was searching for full leg zip compression boots. However since I unfortunately experienced a change in employment status, I needed a less costly product providing some relief to my legs. Identifying what part of my lower extremities needed the most attention, my calves won the internal debate. I have 17.5 inch calves which are not the typical size for most runners. I thought for sure the Velcro would not hold as I like to use max compression. I enjoy rowing, jogging, HIIT workouts, hiking, cycling and my wife loves to take long walks and of course it’s time for us to spend quality time together.. Afterwards my calves are usually achy, restless and tight. Regardless how much I stretch and roll them out. I drink plenty of water throughout the day and I periodically I add Celtic salt in the water so I know it’s not dehydration. This product is phenomenal and would highly recommend Fit King to my family and friends. If your reading this review I consider you are my friend. For the price and quality, If you have swelling, lack of circulation, restless legs, achy tight calves consider this product. Disclosure, if you need to consult your physician first do so. BTW, the Velcro held perfectly and did not detach with max compression. I’ve experienced significant improvement in my calves by increasing blood flow to the area. Restless and the achy sensation have subsided significantly. Oh I almost forgot, the built in heater is a bonus. I can feel the muscles warming up during the compression cycles. Once my employment status changes, I’ll be purchasing the full leg compression boots hoping for the same great product and positive results. ... show more

    • Consider unheated option for device longevity & value
I had the Fit King calf massager with heat for 1 year, and it works as well as a hand massage and about 70% as well as a dry needling session. (If your calf still feels stiff after 20 mins., run the massager a 2nd time for 20 mins.) This massager has decreased my need to visit my physical therapist for dry needling appointments, which is a good thing. I just recommended Fit King products to my entire masters swim team full of adults in their 30s-70s. Would rate this 5 stars, but after 1 year, it's starting to degrade. Some of the green foam inside the controller seems to have pushed out. I think the expansion/contraction associated with the heat option makes the air hoses more prone to pop out of the controller. If you're looking to maximize the device's longevity (and get a better deal), get an option without heat. I'm considering an upgrade to a fancy "dynamic" version with zippers because I like the thigh massage option, and heat isn't so important. ... show more

Okay so I ordered for my mom that suffers from edema and leg pain. This product is definitely not for legs that are swollen a great deal because it will not fit. I was disappointed that I could not use for my mother. I however tried it on myself and it’s amazing the pressure can get intense but I love it. It feels like an actual massage I use it before bed. I give it a 5 in the aspect of how it works but as far as size your legs will have to be not to swollen. Great price! Does relive pain’ I love the heating component. The noise is not to bad. It even comes with a bag to nicely put it away. Not heavy or bulky. Update please keep the heat setting low or wear socks I have a burn on my leg ... show more

This product did not live up to expectations. The compression comes primarily from one side and there are hard uncomfortable edges that dig into your leg during this process. The unit is also quite loud while it’s on and the lowest heat setting was scalding through my clothing. Dear Amazon. I purchased this item because I have edema in my legs and after reading up on this product I figured it'd be my best option. The package paperwork acknowledges that it fits most people and it probably does, unless those people have edema in which they have legs that are larger than normal I found myself struggling secure the raps around one of my legs that really needed the help. Eventually I was able to Jerryrig something up to help me out. Once everything was situated I hit the start button and my legs were in heaven. Everything worked perfectly, the message, the heat had me in aw. But the 20 min intervals were a nuisance. I would have liked to have them go alnight long but you can't always get what you want. Other than those two things everything worked fine. But now I'm trying to decide if I really want to go through the hassle of jerryriging it up everytime I get ready to use it. Please talk to them see if they can make one that wraps at least two more inches around the legs and exstend the run time to at least an hour. ... show more
