The safe is advertised as being Fireproof and Waterproof. The literature that comes with the safe states that it is NOT fireproof or waterproof as advertised. I bought 4 of these for Christmas gifts and will be returning all 4.

Not fire or water proof. Safe has 6 holes drilled for mounting therefore not waterproof. There's no gasket around the door, still not waterproof. Thin walled safe with no insulation so not fire proof. Returned.

Nice design, Easy to use. A lot of storage. Can be secured to floor and/or wall. Mounting hardware is included. I don't think I would call it waterproof since the front door has no seal to prevent water from getting in.

The media could not be loaded. This is a super easy safe to use. There’s no complicated steps for setting up the codes and keypad. The instructions were straight forward and left little to misinterpret. This is a great basic safe for the home. I find it’s especially nice since it doesn’t have any audio. No accidental alarms to set off. Perfect for storing jewelry, cash or important documents that you really just want to be able to locate when you need them. The fireproof and waterproof capabilities can’t be with the safe alone. When it’s shut there are holes to Mount as well as no gasket around the door. Im assuming the included fireproof and waterproof documents holder is what it’s referring to. That said, it’s a nice feature to have those important things in a zipper case and ready to go at a moments notice. There is a light up indicator on the keypad to let you that it’s functioning and the knob is easy to turn when unlocked. There is a shelf inside. There is not a fingerprint reader on this specific model. My intention was to purchase a safe with a fingerprint reader but somehow it got lost in the search shuffle. Also missing was a shelf that I thought was included but again got caught up in the search results. The dry wall fasteners are a joke. Make sure you purchase sturdy fasteners from your local home improvement store before drilling into the wall. The safe itself is very basic.
