  • Great for the cost
Let’s start with the pros: This bench can be used for many exercises because of the attachments and adjustability of the back. The cushions are thick enough that there’s no metal digging into your skin when you work out (unlike cheaper options) This is one of the few benches at this price range that can do incline all the way to decline Easy to assemble with the provided manual, it took me about a half hour. Light enough when assembled that I can lift it with ease Sturdy. I have not felt unstable while using this bench. Cons: There is only one setting for decline. If you do a lot of decline work or are looking for a steep decline, this may not work for you No matter how much you tighten the bolts, the back piece is a little wobbly (just enough that it’s noticeable, it’s not enough to unbalance you) The foot placement piece on the bench is very smooth and slippery (but this can be fixed with some grip tape or just wearing good shoes) Overall: I enjoy having this bench greatly, it has been a great improvement to my home gym setup. All of the cons I have listed weren’t big enough issues for this to not be a product I recommend. I’m not sure of the durability of the PU leather over time, but for now it is performing good with everyday use. ... show more

  • Good quality, sturdy, and versatile bench
Shipped in good packaging and in great shape when arrived. It's not difficult to assemble. Some have complained that it's not sturdy but I find it's very sturdy. The instructions are very clear that you should't tighten the bolt until later in the assembly so that could have cause an issue for others. It can be adjusted for a wide range of exercises so there's a lot you can do with it. When I'm not using it, I store it up ended against a wall so it's out of the way for other activities. ... show more

  • Great exercise bench with one missing key feature
After replacing my trusty old weight bench, which had faithfully served me for over 15 years, with the Finer Form Multi-Functional FID Weight Bench, I was pleasantly surprised by its sleek, compact design. Compared to its predecessor, this modern upgrade fits better in my home gym studio and adds a touch of contemporary style to the space. One noticeable difference is that the Finer Form Multi-Functional FID Weight Bench is lower in height, which I found advantageous for kettlebell squats, where maintaining proper form is crucial. Assembly was a breeze, taking me only 20 minutes with minimal reliance on the instructions. This user-friendly aspect made the setup process hassle-free. The Finer Form bench's versatility shines through its adjustable settings, allowing seamless transitions between exercises like bench presses, back flies, and shoulder presses. The Finer Form Multi-Functional FID Weight Bench doesn't get a gold star for its missing important feature. While the option for core exercises is a standout feature, I did encounter a minor inconvenience regarding dismounting in its decline position, wishing for a removable handle for added safety and easy dismounting. In my opinion, the handle can be switched out with the removable pads using the available slot. Nevertheless, the firm and durable pads and their easy removal enhance my workout routines' overall convenience and efficiency. As a first-time purchaser from Finer Form, I'm impressed by the quality and functionality of their Multi-Functional FID Weight Bench, which is a valuable addition to my home gym studio. ... show more

  • Great upgrade from previous model
I've owned the previous model (without the incline) for two years and it still looks brand new after daily use and even a fair amount of stacking boxes and other heavy objects on it. It's still available, and if you're just looking to do core work, it's a great bench. It doesn't fold, but it's easy to stand on its end. I purchased this updated FID version (flat/incline/decline) because it's truly what I wanted two years ago, but wasn't available. There are plenty of bench choices, but to my knowledge, Finer Form is the only one that incorporates an adjustable pad that can be used for preacher curls as well as Roman chair hyperextension. It can also be removed easily if you want more room while sitting. One thing I hate is creaky, squeaky furniture or equipment, and I wasn't sure what to expect for this price point when I purchased the first bench. I was surprised just how good the build quality was, and I can say that the new bench is equally sturdy, and the advertised weight limit has increased to 1000 pounds. I weigh 225 pounds, and there are zero creaks and no wobbles whatsoever. I don't know about the 1k limit, but I could see it easily handling over 400 lbs. Overall, this is a great addition to an at home workout room. The older model is great for core exercises, but not as good as it could be as a weight bench. Most other weight benches are great for lifting, but not well-suited to ab or back work. This newer bench from Finer Form is great for core exercise (sit-ups, hyperextensions), while adding support for dumbbell presses, fly, and other traditional bench exercises. Still not foldable, but still reasonably easy to stand on its end to clear floor space. The only negative I experienced were a couple errors in the assembly instructions that appear to be due to editing mistakes and poor proofreading. Although the instructions are a little confusing, the diagrams are clear and easy to understand. Just make sure to use the correct fasteners as shown in the diagrams, since some are slightly different in size and count. I am receiving no compensation for this review and paid the full Amazon retail price. If you check my review history you'll see I'm not in the habit of reviewing items--good or bad. I took the time to write a review because I'm really impressed with this equipment at an affordable price point. I've also seen some negative reviews regarding missing or poor fitting parts, but I think a small percentage of issues can be expected with any product, and those same reviewers also mention getting great customer service. ... show more
