It's a 'Squier' made by Fender, in China. I am a beginner player. Overall quality is excellent. I was unable to find very much info on the "debut" online. I'm confident it's an Amazon special to compete with the 'Fojill' and other low priced, 2 day delivery string instruments. It's really nice. Playing around with the gain/overdrive, switches, etc. will likely yield the sound you desire. Occasional rattle/buzzing likely due to inexperienced player or cheap strings. I was really surprised how little I had to invest to get a quality, trusted brand kit to get me started playing electric guitar. I was also impressed with the secure packaging. I haven't checked out the 30 day free trial yet but I'm looking forward to it. I was a little concerned about the 10w amp sound quality and not being loud enough. I haven't needed to turn any dials past 5. With or without gain, it's way louder than I expected. With the exception of some minor buzzing/humming the sound quality is better than I expected. The gig bag, picks, strap, tuner, etc that are included seem to be of good quality. It's also nice to see that trusted name on the accessories, because playing guitar makes you cool but playing Fender guitars with Fender accessories makes you even cooler. I highly recommend this kit to anyone learning to play guitar. I was learning on an acoustic and obsessing. With is smaller body and easier to press strings, this is easier and more fun to play than my acoustic. ... show more

It's perfect for what we need at this point, and it doesn't cost a fortune. Good quality sound and materials, clearly Fender does not stamp their brand without making sure the product is worth it.

The guitar, the amp, the guitar stand and the patch cord all seem to be quality equipment. After tuning the guitar a few times with the tuner app, the guitar is staying in tune. If the amp is turned up too high there is a buzz.
