I have bad knees so need something that's low impact. This hasn't really hurt my knees, I'm also a little above its supposed max weight limit and it doesn't feel the least be impacted by my extra 15lbs. Typically I will go for a bike ride for something low impact, but wanted something that will also help improve my core, as well as not make me be outside in the summer. My husband is 6' about 190lbs and has a 34" inseam, and loves that he has enough legroom to full extend his legs on this rowing machine, unlike many others. Assembly was fairly easy, it doesn't take up a whole lot of space, and will be easy to tuck away when we have company. The only thing my husband complained about is that there's not enough resistance for the arms, which is good for me with a mild tear in my rotator cuff. For the price, this rower is a fairly decent value. Overall the construction feels good and it is stable when assembled without any wiggling or wobbling, no creaking or rattling, and provides a solid platform to exercise on. The total weight of the machine is about 43lbs/19.5kg so it's quite easy to wheel around or to even completely pickup and move. It can be easily stood on end to stow away against a wall, or in a closet or corner to be kept out of the way when not in use. The machine is a bit small, however; the total length is only about 5 feet/152cm. I'm around 6 feet/182cm tall, and I feel that I'm probably about the maximum height for it. I nearly max out the track with a full knee extension. The seat is just about 11.5"/29.2cm from the floor; the lowest point of the guide rail is around 7.5"/19cm from the floor and the highest around 10"/25.4cm. Every stroke my forearms and elbows will make contact with my knees, and because the handle and handle "catch" sit so low, the handle has to move in a slight arch up and down so that I don't have flair my elbows and further compromise my form to just barely continue to clear my legs/knees with each push-off and reset. This can be somewhat alleviated by elevating the rear on a something to give it a few more inches of ground clearance, but it really should have been made taller from the get-go. My other issues is that the max resistance is quite low. I would have liked to see it with more intensity options. I do recommend this overall, as it is a smooth ride and is constructed well from a material standpoint. However it's important to be aware of the height limitations, and know that there's really nothing that can be adjusted other than the foot straps and the resistance, which in itself is underwhelming. ... show more

    • My List of Pros and Cons of the FEIERDUN Rowing Machine

To put my review into context, here's some information about me and my home gym. I have a lot of experience working out at commercial gyms, and I also have a fully equipped home gym now. I am a certified trainer (with multliple certifications.) My home gym contains several commercial-grade pieces of exercise equipment, which obviously means I favor larger & sturdier machines. With that context clear, here is my list of the pros and cons of the FEIERDUN Rowing Machine: Pros: 1. Quiet operation, making it good for working out without disturbing others who are in proximity. 2. Easy to adjust resistance levels with 16 options, catering to various fitness levels (but see cons). 3. Light and easy to move around, with built-in transport wheels (also see cons). 4. Compact design, takes up minimal space and can be easily stored vertically. 5. Moderately stable frame design supports up to 350 lbs (but it is definitely not commercial grade). 6. Smooth pull and return, offering a fluid rowing experience. 7. Suitable for users over a range of height and body sizes (but bigger and taller users may find the machine too small -- see cons) 8. Data monitoring through the LCD display for tracking workout metrics. 9. Enhanced exercise enjoyment with the Kinomap app, offering diverse workout modes. 10. Easy assembly process, taking around 20 minutes with provided tools. 11. Fairly comfortable handle and seat. Cons: 1. It's a physically small device, with a total length of about 5 feet, limiting its suitability for taller users. 2. Handle sits low, making it challenging for taller users to keep the handle over their knees during rowing. 3. Small foot pedals, especially for those with size 11 shoes or larger. 4. Maximum resistance is limited and may not be challenging enough for advanced users. 5. No adjustable height, which may affect comfort and form for some users. 6. Cheap screen that may not meet expectations for some users. 7. Limited range of motion for users over 6 feet tall, potentially affecting workout quality. Sure, a taller user can use it, but that doesn't mean a taller user will get a proper range of motion with this small machine. Overall, this machine is not up to my standards. However, I understand that my standards and expectations may be higher than those of the average home user of this machine. So I'll be more lenient in my rating: three stars instead of the 2-stars I might otherwise be inclined to give it. (I can also understand why some users would give it 4 or 5 stars, because not everyone has my level of expectations regarding exercise equipment.)
