Decent enough. It does mash. Not as well as I had hoped and then cleaning, it can get tricky in the tight space. But for the just part not an issue. I do like this a lot more than my old style one. It seems sturdy enough. I've used with potatoes.

I had this Farberware meat masher in black and I got freaked out about the news regarding black plastic utensils so I decided I would get one in a different color. The Farberware option in Aqua was more expensive than a knock off in red so I went with the knockoff. It wasn't in my house 5 minutes before it got returned because it had sharp rough edges that would have scratched my non-stick cookware. So I went ahead and spent more to buy the Farberware aqua model and I am so pleased.
