Sits securely on bowls for leverage when pressing foods. Rest the Potato Ricer on a pot or bowl and squeeze the soft handles together for perfectly mashed potatoes. Strong stainless steel makes this Ricer sturdy, and a non-slip knob holds it in place on any pot or bowl. Make your own baby food by ricing fruits or vegetables. Simply place this ricer over any bowl or pot, squeeze the gadget's handles, and mashed fruits and vegetables, especially potatoes, ooze right through. A nonslip knob helps hold it in place, and its soft handles have a comfortable grip. Great for mashed potatoes or for making your own baby food, it's made of stainless steel to withstand repeated use.The Good Grips line features durable, nonslip, flexible handles on every product. Ergonomically designed to fit the palm comfortably, the pressure-absorbing, processed rubber handle puts less tension on the hands, while still providing an outstanding grip. • Almost like the one my great-grandmother had, but with a few key improvements :-)
Style: Silver, Non-Adjustable Pattern Name: Ricer
Very comfortable ricer to grip, easy to use and easy on the hands. Doesn't have holes in the sides, only bottom, so my potatoes get pushed through into the collection bowl, and not squishing out the sides onto my counter, cabinets and kitchen workspaces. Made from stainless steel, fully dishwasher safe, makes clean-up super easy, I literally toss it into the dishwasher with the pots and pans, done and done! My G-grandmother's would squish ricings out the sides, was steel and tin so not dishwasher safe, and larger in overall size so it required two hands to squeeze the handles together. Same tool, but improved IMHO. My final determination is OXO hit another one out of the park! Recommended if ever you need a new ricer! ... show more

  • Lump free mashed potatoes
Style: Silver, Non-Adjustable Pattern Name: Ricer
Use this and you won’t have to over-beat your mashed potatoes to get rid of all the lumps. The “riced” potatoes only need enough stirring to blend the added ingredients (butter, sour cream, etc.) and you’re done! Our mashed potatoes came out with a “fluffy” texture as opposed to something kind of like pudding. ... show more

  • Best mashed potatoes ever
Style: Silver, Non-Adjustable Pattern Name: Ricer
Make sure not to put too many potatoes in at a time, and you're good to go.

  • Makes the best mashed potatoes!
Style: Silver, Non-Adjustable Pattern Name: Ricer
This is so easy to use to make the smoothest mashed potatoes. This ricer is very well made and looks like it will last. I've only used it once, but it saved a lot of effort. It's a little awkward to clean, but we'll worth the effort compared the amount of work saved mashing potatoes.

  • Perfect for smooth mashed potatoes.
Style: Silver, Non-Adjustable Pattern Name: Ricer
I'm not someone who likes to add unnecessary gadgets to my kitchen; multi-use or GTFO. But using just a potato masher to work on my potatoes meant that some chunks remained, and whilst that's not a big deal, I wanted silky smooth mashed potatoes! This ricer was just the ticket. it's easy to use by just flipping open the handle and popping a potato in. Depending upon the size (I'm looking at you, two-pound russets) you may need to cut them (but you should be cutting your potatoes into like sizes anyway so they cook properly!). Between this and the cream I add I have achieved the smooth potatoes I crave on Thanksgiving. ... show more

  • My wife swears by it
Style: Silver, Non-Adjustable Pattern Name: Ricer
Bought this for my wife who wanted it to make a family mashed potato recipe. She swears it's the greatest thing ever. I guess. It does what it's supposed to, easy to clean, and seems durable. Wasn't too expensive. If you have a need for it, it's a good option.

  • Great for hashbrowns
Style: Silver, Non-Adjustable Pattern Name: Ricer
It was recommended to me that the best way to make good hashbrowns is to get rid of the moisture from the potatoes after you shred them. This is a great way to press those potatoes before frying. Definitely recommended

  • Best Mashed Potatoes!
Style: Silver, Non-Adjustable Pattern Name: Ricer
So like the majority of the population, lumpy mash potatoes is a turn off. The functionality is very simple. Boil your potatoes until soft. Strain and put into the Potato Ricer. Use your forearms and squeeze. Add your seasoning and mix, voila the best mashed potatoes ever. I use the potato ricer in combination with my KitchenAid Pro 600 to make the best/fluffy/no lump mashed potatoes! My wife said to never make mashed potatoes any other way! Great addition to my kitchen utensils and very reasonably priced! ... show more
