I use this for breaking up and browning ground meat. It works well to get the consistency desired. However, the same can be done with using a wooden spoon, with maybe a bit more effort. It might be a handy gadget to have if you brown a lot of ground meat or other things you want to break up into smaller pieces, but it is not an indispensable item. ... show more
