Something you should know about me: I am a grumpy old woman. I live by my grumpy old woman code; 1) you don’t need a special tool for every task and 2) make do! So combining 1 and 2 I use a potato masher to break up the 5 packs of ground bison meat I make for my dog every week. It works well breaking up the brick o’ meat. But it really takes a bunch of effort and it hurts my hands. I have to put the pot on the floor and use everything I have to get ‘er done. Out of a deep sense of pain I thought about these new fangled things. And I bought one. So ‘I waste my money (again) on something stupid’, I thought. This is SO COOL! I mean, no stress. No strain. No pain. Just the best! I use almost no energy. The meat breaks up so easy, both uncooked and cooked. It works as advertised! Wow! Hot digidy! Ahem. It works! Best for sausage! Press and twist, let the meat cook a bit, then stir. Leave the meat bits as big as you want. Tiny for hot dog chile or big for lasagna! Bought this one far someone who said they couldn’t break up ground beef a S well as I did!!!

I wasn’t sure this masher would work as good as it was reported in reviews. It actually works better than I expected. It breaks up all the lumps of meat to an equal size and consistency.
