It's absolutely gorgeous looking. It survived my dishwasher! Which is very important to me. It fits a medium potato to mash. It's fairy easy to squeeze! I like that I don't have to take it apart to clean it. As if right now it seems very well made and sturdy. It makes the creamiest mashed potatoes! NO LUMPS!!!! The holes are the perfect size. I even use it for my butter. I put a stick of butter in it and press it through and I mixes into the potatoes beautifuly. The prices for this masher is definitely worth it. I got the Rose Gold with black and it's absolutely stunning looking. It's the perfect hight ans length to fit in my drawer that I have my tin foil and parchment paper in. So it stores nicely and does get caught. It's alot less time consuming when it comes to cleaning it! Obviously using a ricer take a bit more time then using an electric mixer. But you never get gluey mashed potatoes. They are perfectly creamy ... show more

Used it for the first time to make mashed potatoes for Christmas dinner yesterday. It was easy to use, not heavy or hard to press. We got nice smooth mashed potatoes, no lumps. We will see how well it holds up through repeated uses but it seems sturdy enough.

I had a potato press similar to this that had lasted me for >40 years... I finally broke in the spotwelds for the pressure plate. This press seems to be a decent replacement. What works: if your potatoes are cooked enough (goes for ALL potato presses like this!) you get very good results! TIP: when you have boiled your potatoes, put them back in the pan FIRST and let them dry out a bit before pressing them! Not much is slipping by between the pressure plate and the cylinder that holds the potatoes. ...and if it does, just consider that already mashed or put in back in the cylinder and press again. Fully acceptable. Easy to clean as long as you rinse and brush it out before the potatoe residue has turned into cement. Do that right away after using it. Handle length is good, does not get in the way when loading it, and it provides enough leverage to press the potatoes - if YOU have boiled them enough. My only complaint - the overall construction is a bit flimsy; there is sideways motion of the handle (needs a better pin/joint construction). Not sure this will last me 40 years, but so far, so good. Yes, I would recommend this. -1 star for flimsiness. ... show more

Wishing I had purchased this potato ricer long ago. I’ve always made tasty mashed potatoes, but this ricer makes them sooo much better. The potato ricer is very sturdy, looks nice, easy to use and takes up very little space. Also priced fairly. I think it was a great buy.

I've never made mashed potatoes as smooth as with a ricer. It takes all the labor out of mashing them and trying to ensure no lumps and also that the potatoes aren't gluey.
