A nice set of plates and bowls that can be used in the microwave, washed in a dishwasher, put in a fridge, etc. They do come with a few "blemishes" in the surface (tiny circular spots where it's like 1mm lower than the rest of the dish) but it doesn't seem to effect anything. The bowls are relatively small, so I don't really use them often. The set is also easy to clean regardless of using a dishwasher as it has a smooth surface. ... show more

These dishes are beyond gorgeous. I have ordered from this company before and been similarly thrilled. The quality is fabulous. The color and design are wonderful. They are nice, heavy, pottery type plates. In the picture, the dinner plate looks as if the design is convex. It isn't. It is concave. The lovely concentric circles add so much simple yet elegant design power to these plates. They shine with beauty. I love the color, I love the design, I love the heft, I love the pottery feel. I don't think anyone would be disappointed with these lovely, versatile dishes. This set had four adorable bowls, just right for soup or even scrambling up a couple of eggs. There were four salad or sandwich plates of the perfect size, and four lovely, expansive dinner plates. These are amazing and well made dishes. You get 4 bowls, 4 small plates and 4 regular plates. They’ve already been through the dishwasher many times and still look brand new. Let's start with packaging. The dishes are exceptionally packaged and were double boxed. Now, for opinion: I love when items are not generic in appearance. As a fine detail, the dishes are not perfectly round, although they are round indeed. This simple elegant detail makes them appear crafted which also lends to value. The color is accurate and ever so lovely. They are sturdy but not clunky. The only thing I don't like and feel that a person would need to see in person to understand is the plates are kind of flat. By flat, I mean the rings on each dish is not really defined. It looks like the plate 'settled' before being heated making it flatter. This is the reason for the star deduction. If the ring details stood out better, or as it seems they do in the pictures, these would make an exceptionally beautiful 5-star set worth the price. But again, this is something one would have to see in person to really make sense of that. ... show more
