A substantial white dish with an architectural looking curve to it, not just plain white generic dishes like you find in Walmart or Big Lots. But still neutral enough to use in many table scapes. Dishwasher and microwave safe. I love my gold rimmed china but I need workhorse dishes too. Only criticism, from the photographs the coffee cups look as though they were fairly large. IRL they are tiny, more like expresso/demitasse size. ... show more

These dishes are so different and pretty. They are not too heavy and not light. Not sure what material this is but I am optimistically hopeful there will not be chips. Bowls are smaller than expected but will work. No children in my house so I feel good about their use.

I'm so happy with these elegant, uniquely shaped dishes. I wanted white, but was disappointed in all other listings online, I searched over 500 sets. I feel high-walled plates, will chip easily, don't know why these seem to be popular now. I chose this set because of their artful shape, but also because it has the large bowls (for soup or large salads) -- which most other sets do not, as well as the small bowls. And the dessert plates are important too. I didn't need the cups/saucers because we have many art pottery mugs, (but if I did need them, they are shaped really pretty.) Packaged well for safe delivery. I think these are wonderful, make the table look special and I recommend them. ... show more
