We bought these for a large gathering at Thanksgiving and they worked great. I think the color is nice and they have stayed in great condition. The raised edge on the plates is nice bc it prevents liquid from spilling off the plate when moving it - however, because of the raised edge they don’t fit as well in the dishwasher. ... show more

Some things to note: If you microwave stoneware it will get hot, I recommend using mittens or waiting before removing. They can also be a bit loud when moving and stacking. I really like the lipped plate design as I have always struggled with keeping food on my plate. I also find the bowls to be a good meal-portion size. These plates aren't bright white, but more of a gray tone. They also mark very easily from silverware. The finish on the bottoms can have sharp spots from the pottery that scratch tables. Be careful. Overall they're pretty and feel like individual made pottery pieces.
