Okay so I was a bit skeptical about these thinner, flexible cutting mats but this 3 pack of flexible cutting mats has won me over. I've only used the pink mat so far and I've been using it daily now about 2 weeks. It's not very thick but it seems adequate for the task. The back of it has a textured grid of squares that kind of elevates it a bit from the surface. It's not non slip per se but I find as I'm chopping, the mere act of holding the item in place as I cut has been sufficient pressure to keep the mat from moving. Make sure your counter is dry under the mat for added security. I haven't found that it's dulling my knife at all so far. I like the size of it alot. It's perfect for my particular counter space and stores so much more easily. I like the flexibility for ease of disposing skins and scraps right into the trash barrel or the chopped items into the pan. It's a definite time saver. I have several traditional cutting boards of varying sizes and I keep finding myself reaching for this one. So far so good. It washes very easily with dish liquid and sponge. So far, I've not noticed any odors after washing like some others that seem to hold onto the stronger odors of garlic and onion. Overall, for the price I'm happy with it and have no complaints. Love these thin flexible cutting boards. Cute colors and easy to use. Sturdy enough to stand up in cabinet and take up no room at all. Flexible enough to bend to put everything in pot or bowl at once. Great buy

These are nice and light weight, work in a pinch as for chopping and food prep. When I used a chefs knife on them though, it cut the plastic and left big rivets in it.

    • I'm never getting a stiff cutting board again

I cook every day and these are so much more convenient than stiff cutting boards. I've used these for about half a year now and they don't shift around, they're easy to clean, they're super lightweight, and they're flexibility makes it so easy to scoop out contents (but they don't stay bent which is nice). Worth the money! Eventually I might like to have one that is bigger because these are good for chopping one to two different vegetables at most. Otherwise, it gets too crowded. ... show more

these have a textured bottom to prevent slippage, but the top is totally flat. this makes anything on it quickly spread off the mat, and makes me feel like the knife will slip. (UPDATE: was cutting chicken and my knife slipped, almost causing my to slice off a finger. the texture on top matters! don’t do it!) it also doesn’t defend the mat from the knife. i’ve had these for under a month and they’re already trashed. compared to the standard one i’ve had for 4 years, which also looks haggard, but feels more safe and sturdy during use. i don’t think the solid black is worth it when the item isn’t as well made as the standard design. that slight pattern on the top of my red one really makes a difference. ... show more

I was not sure what to expect for the low price but so very happy with this purchase. Nice thickness but still flexible and easy to handle. Have used each one repeatedly and they are holding up nicely to use with new very sharp knives. Washing and care are a breeze, was a good purchasing decision.

These were inexpensive and will do what I need them to, so I’m keeping them -BUT- just a heads up, they are very thin/translucent and are not completely plain as shown in the photos. Each one has a white graphic in one corner (veg, ham, fish) which I know is trivial but I specifically ordered this set because they don’t show graphics. That said, the colors are true to the pictures, the surface area is nice and big, and the non-slip grid on the back works well. ... show more
