Short and simple. Even if the house is rolled up, it will still spray. it’s rubber, feels like a thick bicycle tube. Note that the hose is skinny, how skinny??? Take your standard 20oz water bottle, you can push the hose inside the bottle. it’s about the same circumference. It’s good for watering your plants, washing the car but maybe not for a power washer. Less than three months old and rubber cover stated to fall apart. The company promotional material promotes light weight design over the competion. All I can say is the competion's heavier hose lasted 10x longer. Will try to see if I can get help from Amazon or the manufacture. In the mean time stay away from this garden hose. ... show more

This hose doesn't expand as much as others have tried, but it still lengthens quite a bit when the water pressure increases. In South Central Texas we get pretty intense heat during the summer. After a couple of weeks, exposure to the heat caused the black coating on the hose to start to peel off. Then, the hose developed two leaks and it was toast. I returned the holey hose and got a replacement from the seller that has worked well as long as I keep it out of the heat of midday. This hose seems to be pretty pricey to me, though. This is my first experience with lightweight, expanding hoses. I'm comparing this hose with the traditional hoses I've used for decades. My impressions: - It's taken some time to get used to a hose that changes length. I have always connected my garden hoses to soaker hoses before turning on the water. My hoses are a fixed length--that doesn't change based on whether the water is turned on or not. The length of this expandable hose does. After awhile, I realized that I should turn off the cutoff on this hose, turn on the water so the hose expands to its full length, and then connect it to my soaker hoses. A little bit more complicated, but that's the tradeoff for a lighter hose. - It's super floppy when coiled up. I have to use more than one velcro strap to store it neatly. - It's really light weight. Orders of magnitude lighter than my traditional 100' garden hoses. - It rolls up really small for storage. - Built-in cutoff. Thought this was a nice feature, but I think it's a necessity for this kind of hose. - I expected the girth of the hose would increase with the water turned on, but it expanded in length only. Concerned about the amount of flow, I used a hose pressure gauge, which showed the same pressure as my regular garden hoses. But I'm not sure that correlates with the amount of water this hose can deliver versus a standard 5/8" hose. I'm going to test by measuring how much time it takes for this and one of my older hoses to fill a 5-gallon bucket. I'll update my review after I've done so. Overall, I can see the benefits to this type of hose, primarily its much lighter weight and coiled size versus a traditional hose of the same length. I think the tradeoff for those benefits is less durability and more coddling and special attention. I'm not worried about leaving my old hoses out all summer--bringing them in after each use just isn't practical for me. Additionally, while the product description states that this is a warranty and to contact the seller if you have problems, there are no details about the length of the warranty. My older hoses from Gilmour, Flexon, etc., have clearly-stated lifetime warranties. That's important to me. If weight of your hoses is a concern, this hose is a good option. If not, I'd stick with traditional hoses for the durability and simplicity of maintenance. ... show more
