Description

The 10mil single-ply clear Genera Resonant has produces a full and round sustain with strong upper-mids that increase projection without sacrificing sustain. They're ideal for enhancing tone when combined with a 2-ply batter head. From the Manufacturer Genera Resonant Series OverviewEvans clear Genera Resonant drum heads produce a full, round sustain with strong upper-mids that increase projection without sacrificing sustain. They are ideal for enhancing tone when combined with a 2-ply batter head. The revolutionary Evans Level 360 drum head technology is found in the proprietary collar design that extends the level playing surface of the drum head 360 degrees around the drum. This vertically enhanced collar design ensures balanced contact with the critical bearing edge of the drum shell, resulting in: • Ease of fit • Ease of tuning • Extended tuning range and quality of sound Available on all Evans 6 – 20 inch Batter and Resonant Drum set, Snare Side, Concert and Marching Tenor heads. Evans Level 360 technology solves the age-old dilemma of traditional synthetic heads consistently not fitting a variety of drum shells without using force that chokes the responsiveness of the head and the drum’s performance. The Level 360 BlueprintThe benefits provided by Evans Level 360 technology stem from a groundbreaking collar design:Steeper Collar:Extends the level plane of the drum head to ensure balanced contact with the critical bearing edge of the drum shell. Roll-over Hoop:Provides strength and stability where the film meets the hoop, for greater durability without diminishing performance. Balanced Contact:For ease of tuning and enhanced quality of sound. Greater Tonal Range:Wider tuning options result in higher levels of responsivness and resonance, giving you the confidence to tune your drums high or low.

Its an Evans head , what more is there to say

  • Use as Resonant head and the head will serve you very well.
Size: 14 Inch
I'm typically a user of a different drumhead brand, but due to supply, ordered the 14" Evans resonant head. In the studio, the head was exceptional- maintaining its tuning and thoroughly complimenting the shell for a beefy tone on a 14" Floor tom. Genre rock/ metal. Satisfied customer.

  • I bought these for my son but just hearing him play I can tell the difference
Size: 16 Inch
He said that he really seemed to like the durability and the sound but just from listening to him play I could tell the difference from his old drum head and it sounds amazing.

  • Great tone and sustain for a resonant head
Size: 12 Inch
How does one evaluate a resonant head? You put it on the drum, stretch it, tune it and leave it alone for a while, then tune it as needed. What does one listen for? I replaced my Evans G1 clear batter heads with new G12 heads. I also replaced all the resonant heads with these Evans Genera Resonant heads at the same time because my old Evans reso heads were over two years old. Evans Genera reso heads are 10 mil thick, same as the G1 batter heads, but Evans doesn't explain the difference. It may be in the hoops, or an additive to the plastic, but we'll never know what that difference is (if any). A good resonant head will, once tuned properly, will sustain its resonance. A drummer can always mute the resonance, but he can't make it any longer/better. These heads sustain very well, and stay in tune easily. Once I put these heads on, only a few minor touch-up tunings were needed. Being 10 mil thick they also retain high frequency overtones. These heads will help any drummer get the best natural, full sound from his toms. Video can be seen/heard here: http://youtu.be/xSorJW50EH4 ... show more

  • Bright and Loads of Sustain
Size: 16 Inch
It’s probably not everyone’s cup of tea. When I got it I read on the packaging that it was for gospel and such. I’m more of a rock/metal dude but I thought what the heck, let me try it out. Bruh, it makes the floor tom sound like an 808. It booms and resonates without losing clarity. Definitely works for me. ... show more

  • Simply the best drum heads money can buy.
Size: 16 Inch
I've been a drummer/percussionist for most of my life and I've tried several different heads. I was a Remo guy, an Aquarian guy, and even an Attack guy for a short while but all of these heads, though great seemed to be missing something, or have caveats that I had to live with. If I wanted a big sound, I couldn't have great projection, if I wanted great projection, I couldn't have bottom end and if I wanted durability, I had to sacrifice tone. It wasn't until I saw a great local band with a HUUUUUGE kick drum sound, that I found out after asking, "try these Evans heads". I did, and I haven't looked back since. These are some of the best, most easily tuned and durable heads you can get. I use these genera heads in combination with G2 batter heads and I get an awesome, huge tone with just the right amount of attack and bottom end. (tuned correctly of course.) ... show more
