Description

dB One offers you the unprecedented freedom to play how you want at manageable, conversational volumes. These heads benefit from a convergence of several breakthrough technologies that generate an 80% reduction in volume while remaining faithful to the kit’s full-volume tone. Experience authentic bounce and attack with ShockWeave Mesh™, KTF (Kinetic Transfer Foam™), and dB One’s innovative Impact Patch striking surface. Additionally, the wire-free Snare Sim™ treatment tackles the impossible-to-fake buzz, crack, and excitement of acoustic snares at the same reduced level. dB One Cymbals, the first cymbals to sport the Evans logo and dBalance™ technology, feature a spiral-perforated volume reduction system, punched into a nano-plated stainless alloy surface. This precision-approach to attenuation achieves a chime and resonance as articulate as many full0volume sets, but at 1/5th the noise level. For over 60 years, Evans has been an innovator in drumhead manufacturing and design. As the creator of the first synthetic drumhead and other revolutionary products such as EMAD, Hydraulics, and the UV1 series, Evans drumheads are designed with the intent of solving problems for drummers. Regarded for high quality and consistency all Evans drumheads are made in the USA and feature Level 360 Technology.

  • Finally!!!
Style: Rock Kit Size: 9-Pack
I'm so glad the technology has finally caught up, I've been dreading the idea of switching to electric since living in an apartment. This is the closest I've ever felt to playing a regular acoustic set, I get all the same tones and feelings as the real thing just at reduced volume. Evans has always been the goat for drumheads and the cymbal combo pack is great . Only issue I have is the small crash is kinda tinny but I put a sizzle on it and it sounds great ... show more

  • Low Volume!
Style: Rock Kit Size: 5-Pack
I was looking for a low volume option for home practice. Evans claims an 80% sound level reduction with these. That checks out. Yet, there is enough tone to get that real drum sound. The main thing for me is the feel of playing a full-on acoustic set without the volume. Practicing for hours on a electronic kit with hard rubber pads was hurting my wrists. These Evans heads allow for the right amount of rebound without being either too dead or too bouncy. Love the bass drum head! They hit the sweet spot for feel. Now I can practice without driving everyone out of the house. Coupled with low-volume cymbals, this is a winning setup. If there is one criticism, it is that this should be offered with 12" and 13" tom heads instead of 10" and 12". Fortunately, I am using a 4 piece setup. Bottom line... these are not cheap, but they are worth it. ... show more

  • Quiet practice head, seems kinda fragile
Style: 13 Inch Size: 1-Pack Tom
I converted a 6x13 "rack tom" into a floor tom to use with my (formerly) 3-piece practice pad set. The Evans head is obviously quiet and has a decent rebound, but it kind of feels like a taut bed sheet. It's fine for now... gets the job done, but I wonder how long it will last. Does anyone have one of these heads that's been in use for a year or more? ... show more

  • Right Tom is way too low
Style: Fusion Kit Size: 3-Pack
Great product would buy again but the right Tom just can’t get right Still too low in comparison with the others but AGAIN I would buy it again

  • Love these
Style: Rock Kit Size: 5-Pack
These are a great choice to bring drum volume down while keeping a good solid sound. I also changed out the cymbals with low volume. I am happy with the changes because now I can play without ear protection and annoying my family. I tried Evans muting pads and they were garbage. These actually sound like the drum should, just much quieter. I’m about to get a 14” for the new floor tom I have coming. Also want to mention the snare head sounds great, very close to a real snare, and you don’t need to use the chain below. The head gives the effect of the chain and it surprisingly sounds very similar. Only downside, the bounce back on these isn’t quite as strong as normal drum heads. It’s an acceptable loss to me though. I would definitely buy these again. I highly recommend these. ... show more

  • Overpriced
Style: 18 Inch Size: 1-Pack Bass
The media could not be loaded. These are WAY too expensive for what you get. Sure, they are built well, but it's basically a mesh head with a falam patch on it. You can buy each piece separately for about half the cost of these. In fact, I have one tom with a regular mesh head and some painters tape, and it actually sounds better than the db one. ... show more

  • Sounds good, better response than alternatives, and hold up well
Style: 18 Inch Size: 1-Pack
Yes- these are GREAT for practice, great response. Ez tuning. I'm running them on a set of aluminum Trick drums. Sound great, tone wise. They hold up well, too. No ludicrous bounce like you might have experienced with other low volume head options. These respond more like regular tom heads - for the most part. Still a bit of excess rebound, but again, far less than other alternatives. Late night practice sessions are now allowed... I will say, the DB-1 snare head is still a bit loud, though. If too loud, throw the snares off and muffle with towel (over the head or in the practice snare). ... show more
