I've owned the C220 lock for a month and have found it to work really well. It took about 10 minutes to install and no modifications to my door were needed. The lock is well constructed and is heavy. The management app is well done and easy to navigate. Things to note: 1. Some older people can have hard to read fingerprints. This is not specific to Eufy. Use a code number for them instead if this is a problem. 2. The battery life on my lock has been great as my wifi is close by. The further away the lock is from your WIFI access point, the more demand there is on the batteries. This is why some people report great battery life while others complain it's terrible. I believe it took 8 batteries.. it should last a long time. 3. No more smart hub!! Good riddance. Adding and removing codes or fingerprints is FINALLY easy! This might be the biggest difference. 4. The touch keypad CAN be seen in direct sunlight 5. I did not try the geofencing but it has the capability, provided everyone in the family has the app on their phone. It could auto-lock and auto unlock if configured to do so. 6. I did not test doorbell or camera integration - but it has that feature. Gripes: These are small but need to be noted 1. For renters: temporary/scheduled access codes work fine but there is no integration with text messaging (or email) to create the code and send it in a single process. Heck, the app is already managed on your mobile - why not do this? Now I have to separately send a text with all the details when this could have been easier. 2. When using a number codes, you have to press the keypad once to wake it up, enter the code, and then press the enter key on the bottom right of the panel. Why do I need to press enter? Why not open the lock after a second if no additional keys are pressed and the code is correct? Now you have to tell potential renters of this requirement to press the enter key. My point is: the enter key is not be obvious to people unfamiliar with the lock. 3. On the app, the battery life is shown as a tiny battery picture with lines filled in for battery life remaining. Would it have killed them to put a percentage number next to it? Overall, this is the best lock that I have tried and I have tried about 6 others to date. Excellent lock! I’ve tried a few and I like this one the most within the price points. Pros: sleek, functions great, easy setup, app works great. Cons: only 1… cannot change the key lock mechanism. I gave an old room mate a key and he ended up being scammy. I had to switch locks for security because he had a key. ... show more

My wife and daughter love the fingerprint feature. It can be finicky for me for some reason. Maybe it doesn't like bigger fingers? Regardless, I love that it is a smart lock that I can control from anywhere with my phone. We rent our house out once a year for a big golf tournament and this makes adding/removing codes SUPER easy. We've had our lock for about 6 months now. It really works well for our needs. I think we had a few hiccups getting it to connect to WIFI since it's looking for a specific type of connection, but once we knew this, it wasn't too difficult to get working. Installation was pretty straightforward with no complications other than wifi. Setting up fingerprints is a little tedious, but necessary. It's not complicated, just takes a little time. Setting up new passcodes is also very easy, and love the options to be able to set temporary ones as well. Day to day use, it rarely gives us issues. If my fingers are dirty or wet, it can't read my finger print. But it always picks up on the passcode. My 6 yr old can never get the finger print part to work; probably due to little dirty hands or her not putting her finger on it correctly. I've only had it malfunction one time in the 6 months we've had it (should have unlocked, made the noise, but didn't), but it was an easy fix of just typing in our passcode or using our fingerprint again to get it to do what we asked. Really like that it keeps records of what types of entries were made through the door and by whom. I appreciate the notifications as well, but do wish there were some options for notifications--only unlock notifications for example, rather than both unlock/lock; or notifications only on a specific person/code. Appreciate you can control the volume level on the lock or not have it make a noise at all. Also like that you can set hours for it to keep the door locked. We set it for late at night through our morning routine, so that in case we forget to lock it after we leave for the day.. it'll lock itself! ... show more
