  • Great Sounding & Absolutely Gorgeous Looking!
The pictures just do not do this beautiful guitar justice and must be seen in person to appreciate it! The "worn look" is spot on & feels much smoother (not as tacky feeling) than high gloss finishes. The color contrast between the gold color & the mahogany back is awesome looking. A little oil on the fretboard will really brighten it up for you as well. The pots & pickups are really nice as well with the 3way switch & the push/pull coil splitters on the knobs. It sounds/plays great & has stayed in tune for me. An for the price, it's a good deal. I know they're going by Epiphone standards but I'm pretty impressed that the Chinese were able to handcraft something so nice; since that's not always the case. This is an excellent electric for beginners, for those who play a little & for those who are rock stars. You can't go wrong with this guitar. Sometimes beginners will buy the cheapest guitar to start playing on. Don't Do That! There is a huge difference between a $100-$300 & this one. Invest a little bit in yourself & your equipment, because going cheap is only going to frustrate you, probably give you a way to just quit on yourself or will force you to spend more money later because the $100-$309 guitar just isn't going to sound very nice and you'll end up buying a slightly more expensive guitar anyway; especially if you enjoy playing. An trust me, when you unpack this guitar for the 1st time, you're going to FEEL LIKE A ROCK STAR!! May as well look like one too! ... show more

  • Great guitar... and so purple!
Color: Violet Purple Burst
A beautiful Epiphone Les Paul. Plays, feels and sounds great. Constructed like a much more expensive guitar. The deep, bright purple to black faded finish is so vibrant and delicious. Still getting to know her and love it! Only quibble: This is a replacement for a damaged one just like it. The first guitar arrived with the boxes intact but the neck was broken (all the way through!) during shipping, at the upper bridge. Sent it back, got a refund right away from Amazon and reordered it. A rep at the guitar factory was very kind and helpful (I was a bit upset at first). Then this one arrived and the box was caved in badly on one corner. Happily, the inner guitar-shaped Epiphone box protected the guitar and it works perfectly. Not a scratch. Took only a week from the arrival of the damaged one to receive the perfect replacement. Very happy and pleased after all of it. ... show more

  • Love this guitar!
Color: Ebony
Arrived on time and very well packaged. The action is pretty near perfect (never had that happen before! Always had to get new guitars setup) , and the sound is fantastic! I’ve wanted a Les Paul all my life - glad I waited. Great price and wonderful addition to my collection. The case is very sturdy, too, and fits the guitar perfectly. Couldn’t be happier! ... show more

  • Excellent LP
Color: Ebony
This is an excellent Epi LP guitar. Not crazy about the ‘worn’ look but it plays really well!

  • It wasn’t was I was expecting…
Color: Heritage Cherry Sunburst
The minute I picked it up out of the box and touched it the bottom e string broke in my hand. The finish was great but it is not shiny at all a dull wood finish. Very half done for sure, it would probably look better with some kind of finish on it. The neck is very playable and comfortable. I ordered Ernie ball regular slinky’s to play it with. I was expecting more for my money honestly. My epihonne acoustic guitar I bought from the same company was a beautiful finish and excellent guitar that I love for a quarter of the price. I was just expecting better for 599.00. Update! I gave this guitar a few days to run through the paces on it and although the finish wasn’t what I wanted and the bad first impression, to actually sit down and play it and run these pick ups through my mxr pedal and to hear the the tone I’m sold! I am more of a tone person and very particular tonality. I would recommend Epiphone Les Paul’s for their playability and awesome tone! Recommend for sure! ... show more

  • What I texted below
Solid and heavy like a standard but make sure you have fretboard oil or some sort of oil like mineral oil dunlop 65 for the fretboard shes dry as a bone. Make sure you have super glue because the nut wasn't seated and was just floating around in its channel. Does have some ruff spots tord the heel like if you shave then wait a day n a half burrs not something that can't be taken out with fine steelwool I wouldn't recommend sand paper unless 400 grit then do it lightly. Fret ends were a bit sharp ive felt way way worse wasn't set up all the good had high action when it came in i can't say much about electronics I'm putting different ones in. All n all a good solid guitar may not be for a beginner but if you understand at minimum basic wood understanding and know how to use super glue and youtube but will need a look over here n there im content with spending the 484 with tax I payed for it not rich just a guitar player. ... show more
