Really like this thumbprint handle. Our thumb prints read 98% of the time 1st try. The remaining 2% our fault- if our hands are wet or we don't get the pad of the finger on the scanner right it won't read. I like that it has a swipe card and numbers right on the handle plus a key in an battery failure. I also like the auto lock turn off feature, it's easy to use. The only "downside" if it can be called that,is its a little noisy when locking/unlocking due to the electronic nature of the system. It's to be expected and nothing too loud, but it can startle or wake a light sleeper. All in all I'd recommend this (and have) to anyone needing an easy, self locking, non keyed system. I will say we have only used it on an internal door not exterior facing so I can't say how elements affect it. ... show more

I bought this lock as a replacement for another one I had bought 2 years ago, and I am so happy I did. The item was well packed and had everything needed for installation. It took me about 5 minutes to install, and the lock works like a charm. Connecting it with the Tuya app was a piece of cake, and programming the enclosed cards, as well as registering my fingerprint. dont like that it has very little protection from water. stopped working and had to throw it away and buy another one. The lock doesnt pretend to be waterproof which is why i still gave 5 stars but door locks should have water protection

This lock is super easy to install and is no more difficult to add a standard door knob. If you pair it with the bridge device that allows it to connect to the internet, you have a great remotely accessible lock. There are so many different ways to unlock it. The key fobs are great for anyone who just wants to use the fob, although you do have to hit the sweet spot on the door handle in order for it to work. The thumbprint reader is a little tricky on hitting the sweet spot for it to read your fingerprint. It also comes with key in case power runs out. This product started off phenomenally. It was simple enough to install, easy to use, and worked perfectly as advertised. About six months in, it started to become less responsive. The fingerprint sensor started taking more time to recognize fingerprints, sometimes even failing to unlock the door after a successful capture. I figured the battery was dying, so I charged it overnight. This didn't remedy the situation, but it wasn't a huge inconvenience. Six months of battery life didn't seem terrible for daily use, but I thought it could be better. Well, it turns out that the battery was good for about a year, because it doesn't actually charge at all. The battery is completely dead. I have tried multiple chargers which all power the lock while plugged in, but never actually charge the device. Overall, I'm disappointed in this purchase because it worked beautifully for the time it actually worked. It looks great and has an excellent fit and finish. It feels premium, but all that goes out the window when it stops working. ... show more

As title says, the fingerprint works but if your fingers are wet even slightly like after a shower, washing your hands etc the fingerprint reader doesnt work at all. however they also include passcode and key as well if your fingerprint doesn't work. Overall worth the money for keeping a room more secure from roommates, kids, etc. ... show more

This door lock works almost to perfection. Install and set up took only about 20min taking my time. Fingerprint access was very accurate. During the fingerprint set up, you may want to move your finger 5 different angles just to cover your whole fingerprint. Key, number, and card access all worked perfectly.
