I don’t use this wedge pillow as it was intended to be used. I sleep on an old futon which sinks down in the middle where the mattress bends and my back and rear end naturally sink into the gap(gravity is great until it isn’t). I always wake up with terrible back pain so I searched Amazon for an extra long bolster pillow and found this wedge and it’s perfect. I’ve only used it twice now but I slept quite soundly through both nights of using it and didn’t wake up with excruciating lower back pain in the morning as I normally do. Typically, I wake up in so much pain and somewhat stuck in the gap and then have to carefully rock myself back and forth like a turtle stuck on its back until I manage to make it out of the gap and can then roll off of the futon and onto the floor and go take some OTC pain meds. I’m so very happy I found this wedge pillow! *As an awesome bonus, my dog does NOT like the wedge pillow so she’s been sleeping in her own bed instead of hogging mine. I am paralyzed and I spend alot of my time in bed. I found that not only does the wedge work at the headboard area, it also works great when your bed is against a wall. I use them on the side of the bed that is near the wall. I was always having stuff fall between the mattress and the wall. After which, I was constantly having to ask someone in the home to reach under the bed to retrieve various items that would fall to the floor. This as was very frustrating for me as well as the person who had to be my human retriever. By placing the wedges along the side of the bed it instantly made my life so much easier.
