    • Perfect for our small porch, but difficult to replace propane
This is a great purchase. We have a front porch that this item made very cozy! The only complaint is how difficult it is to replace propane tanks. It takes 2 people or 1 to prop up so you can get underneath to screw/unscrew on the needle. But still worth the purchase IMO.

I received this little fire pit as a gift. At first I was skeptical because I saw that it used those little green 1 pound LP bottles and thought I’ll be burning through those fast. It also looked like a pain in the butt to change those out. (Which after I read the reviews of the product, was confirmed.) When looking at the numbers this is a 10,000 BTU burner, and 1 lb of propane produces roughly 21,600 BTU’s/hr, so the green bottles will last just over two hours on high. I then noticed that there is an obvious small cut out in the base of the fire pit to run a hose to a bulk tank. I purchased a 4’ adapter hose connected the fire pit to my spare LP tank and now this fire pit works like a charm. Yes, I do have to look a tank by the unit but the savings and convenience is well worth it. If I decide I don’t like looking at a tank on the patio, I’ll invest in 12’ hose. In my opinion, this was a great gift. Currently bulk propane is my area is running at $1.99/gallon or $0.47/lb., while 1 pound green bottles averages about $4.50 a bottle. So it is pretty much 10 times cheaper to run this off a refillable tank, and way more handy. Also there is no electronic ignition. The burner must be lit with a long stemmed lighter. ... show more

Pretty pleased with this. It seems good quality, and everything (the unit, knob, burner, valve, etc). all seem to operate will and a with a quality "feel" to them. It's also a very heavy, solid, stable weight - which I think is a good thing when you're talking about anything that's meant to contain a fire. There are two factors that keep me from giving it a full 5 stars. One, I think the amount of glass rock they provide is a little on the stingy side. Even with careful distribution, you can still see the burner poking thru. I ended up adding about half of another bag for for uniform coverage. Next, it uses the small propane bottles - which is very handy is many ways. However, they screw in to a fixed inlet underneath. So, each time you replace the bottle, you either have to dump all the glass rocks into out, and tip the whole thing sideways (or over), or perform a really careful act of coordination to keep it upright which you carefully try to thread the bottle into the inlet. The first several times I tried I had to stop after a turn or two because it began to cross thread. ... show more

The size is just right for my porch,keeps us warm and it looks beautiful with all that blue fire rocks.The only issue I have is changing the propane canister,I wished there’s an easy way to do it.A small door on the side would be a big help..

Absolutely loving these fire pits, bought 2 to put next to the waterfall, what a difference. Easy setup plug and play. Good quality too, Ijust got them so I dont know how long they will last but seem sturdy,

It's fantastic. It takes my patio space to the next level. Literally everyone that sees it on thinks it's the coolest thing ever. The upside: •Extremely portable & easy to move with one person. •You're patio will be the best around. (Unless your neighbors have one. Especially a fancier version) •Much like your milkshake, it also brings all the boys to your yard. •It uses the green camping stove propane tanks. Cheap!!+++ DOWNSIDE: •The boys might trample your yard. •to change the propane cartridge, you have to approach it from the open bottom side. There is no side wall door. It's tricky the first few times. Have faith in yourself though. You can do it! •it doesn't radiate a lot of heat. You have to be up on it. Mostly for style. It's a must have for the patio enthusiast whether you're a golden girl trying to improve her veranda on a budget, or if you're calling the corners & need to add the elemental layer (fire) for your Coven’s full moon ritual…for all your needs, it's perfect for the price!!! ... show more

We purchased this little fire tower to have on our little porch for the times we wanted to be outside on our porch but it was not useful for a campfire to be built or it was drizzly. Perfect! Great ambience and even a but of heat. No worries of falling over as it is heavy and sturdy. Looks great too! ... show more
