  • Great for busy moms and on the go!
Size: Single Pump
I’m a very busy mom of three juggling distance learning and taking care of all of my SAHM duties. My youngest is 9 month is exclusively breast fed along with actual food just no formula. She constantly attached to me and being busy having to sit down to feed her and then pump for extra time is just in the cards for me. I had a different pump which works great the spectra 2 but I couldn’t do anything but sit, and when you have a million things to do sitting is not an option. Another reason I decided to try Elvie was I could now allow my husband to help and bond by feeding when I needed a break or while making dinner or in the evening. I can pump while doing dishes or the laundry. But what I really enjoy is I can still nurse my 9mo old while I’m pumping and she doesn’t even get bothered by the pump. My old pump she would tug on and break suction even while wearing a pumping bra. Ease of use: assembly is very simple. There are paper instructions or you can use the app. It instructed me you to put it together when I first got it and how to start my session. The app is easy to set up and connect each time you use it. Features: being able to start the pump manually or through the app is great. I can set a timer change the speed or suction power without having to touch pump if I’m out. It has a sensors that monitors mild output and surprisingly it’s pretty accurate with little to no adjustment when I’m finished pumping. Some people said the light was super noticeable but it doesn’t seem to bother me. If you tend have longer pump sessions than the pump can get pretty warm when you go to take it out. Comfort: my first thought was how can this be comfortable? But once you get the hang of placement you barley know it’s there. It’s not super noticeable but since I purchased the single pump my chest looks a little lopsided, but any mom knows we have days where one breast is much bigger when breast feeding. Cleaning: I read a lot of reviews between Elvie and Willow and this one seem to have better reviews for cleaning. I would have to say that cleaning this one it’s actually easier than cleaning my original pump. I can’t even dry it in the collection container fully before reassembling. You may need a few bottle cleaning tools. I currently use the set of munchkin bottle cleaning tools and a doctor brown brush with a soft scrubbing top. And it is small enough to get into the collection container and clean every little nook and cranny. Since the pump portion cannot be submerged in water you need to make sure to take a wet towel and clean off the seals in the area world the Milk passes into the collection container because it can start to build up there. Mechanical: my first thought was that it was going to be very loud like my original pump. That is one thing that I really like about this pump it’s very quiet and is actually much more comfortable than a traditional pump. Because it is designed to hug your breast it’s not just sucking in your nipple. There are different shields that you can purchase if you need one that is larger than the one that it comes with the one that it comes with is a 24 mm. Which is The standard size for most breast plan on market. Overall I would 100% recommend this pump to anyone who is trying to make their life easier or for someone who is going back to work and exclusively pumping. To a mom who’s at home running around dealing with crazy children and a house and looking for a way to pump more effectively and efficiently. The only company I have is if the pump is beginning to get full in the reservoir bending over can sometimes make it leak or spill somehow. I haven’t exactly figured out why it would leak when I would bend over because it is sealed very well. That is my only complaint so far. It charges fully in roughly 2 hours when I took it out of the box. And I just plug it in after every session to make sure that it’s charged up. Parts: I love that it comes with two shields so I can pump and not have to clean it right away and have a second to use. It also comes with a carry bag so if I’m going to be mobile I can bring a clean one with me. I chose to go with a single pump and I’m glad that Elvie has The option to have a single which is why I ended up landing with them in the end. I had heard good things about the Willow but I also didn’t like how people complain that it was very hard to clean compared to the Elvie who had purchased both pumps. Overall if you do get the single pump or the double I think you’ll be happy with your purchase. ... show more

  • A Disappointing Experience with the Elvie Portable Breast Pump: A New Mom's Perspective
Size: Double Pump
As a new mom committed to providing the best for my baby, I eagerly embraced the idea of breastfeeding. To facilitate this journey, I invested in the Elvie portable breast pump, drawn to its promise of convenience and efficiency for a working mom like myself. The allure of the Elvie pump lies in its compact size, quiet operation, and hands-free functionality. Its sleek design seemed tailor-made for the modern, multitasking mom. However, my initial excitement soon gave way to frustration as I encountered significant flaws in its performance. The concept of a hands-free, portable breast pump is undoubtedly appealing, especially for busy mothers balancing work and childcare responsibilities. The discreet design and quiet operation initially seemed like a dream come true. Unfortunately, the reality fell short of expectations. One big issue is the pump's tendency to leak milk from the release button, particularly when engaged in any form of movement. This flaw not only compromises the efficacy of the pumping session but also results in wastage of precious breast milk—a setback that no breastfeeding mother can afford. Another significant drawback is the subpar battery life, which undermines the pump's purported portability. Instead of offering the freedom to pump on the go, I find myself tethered to power sources, constantly monitoring battery levels to avoid interruption during pumping sessions. Regrettably, my experience with the Elvie portable breast pump has been far from satisfactory. Despite its promising features, the product's fundamental flaws overshadow any perceived benefits. As a result, I've been forced to supplement with formula due to milk leakage and unreliable battery performance. While I acknowledge the potential of the Elvie pump and appreciate its innovative design, the current iteration falls short of delivering on its promises. As a consumer, I urge the manufacturer to address these issues promptly and prioritize functionality over aesthetics. Until significant improvements are made, I cannot recommend this product to fellow mothers seeking a reliable breastfeeding solution. In conclusion, while the Elvie portable breast pump may appeal to the modern mom seeking convenience, its performance fails to live up to expectations. As a new mom navigating the challenges of breastfeeding, I hope that my feedback will spur the necessary improvements to make this product truly worthy of its price tag. Sincerely, Ana Karen Disclosure, this account it;s under my mother's name, we share an account. ... show more

  • Significant improvement! Love them!!
Size: Double Pump
I had another brand of hands-free pumps with my first, and the only reason why I chose that over the Elvie was because my friend told me there are less parts to clean with the other one. While that was true, it was heavy and very uncomfortable to wear under my bra. I was so afraid that the pump wouldn't stay in place that I only used it when I didn't have to move. I just tried the Elvie and it is significantly lighter, a night and day difference. I feel like I could actually wear these while moving around, which is the whole point of buying these! The suction is gentle and pretty quiet. I like that there are no wires hanging around and that I can really wear these discreetly. Now that I have a toddler to chase after while pumping, it's so important that I am not tied to a breast pump every few hours. While the Elvie won't be replacing my main pump, it's definitely opened doors for me to not use pumping as an excuse to go out and let my child have some fun. ... show more
