It's parts were carefully packed in styrofoam with the English owner's manual right on top; no scratches. The wheeled base and tiller come pre-assembled. Really, the only thing to do is assemble the seat post and armrests on the chair. After an overnight charge it was ready to go. The seat spins right around and clamps to the post every 45°. It is much more stable than it looks. A large knob allows the tiller to swing right out of the way and clamp down again easily. The controls are super easy to use. Also, the tiller has a grab bar, not a simple handle. It is steered and controlled by either hand, or both. It loads easily into the trunk of my car in several ways. The wheeled base is the heaviest part. It has a suitcase handle at one end and casters at the other. It is brilliantly designed for being driven and transported. There is a problem. The ride is very harsh. My wife at first found the seat too hard, but a little pillow helped support her lumbar. She was able to drive it four miles in D.C. from the hotel to the Vietnam memorial and back; but she felt every curb cut and paver bump. Also, there should be something to support the heels.     • Perfect for walking my dog and taking the garbage to the curb
I put this together myself and I am 69 with arthritis. The hardest part was getting it out of the box. After that, everything fit together easily and without tools. My only issue is I can't raise the seat because I am not able to pull the seat back off. If anyone knows a trick, I'd love to hear it. Riding the scooter is way better than I even hoped. It is very fast and super efficient with battery life. It is easy to run and has a better turning radius than I had expected. Note that I am using the scooter exclusively outside so there is alway room to turn around. The light was a bit of a dissapointment - it is not a headlight. I take a flashlight with me for those darker areas (I do use it at night). I can easily run the scooter while holding a full garbage bag in the other hand. All in all, very happy. ... show more

This arrived very quickly after ordering and was easy for my husband to put together. The battery is very long lasting and it rides smoothly. I has some get up and go if you put it in Jack Rabbit mode LOL. There is a little horn and a headlight and brake lights. It fits well in the trunk of my Subaru Forester and I have used it for shopping, sightseeing in Charleston and camping at a KOA. It has really given me more freedom to enjoy going places with my family and being able to participate. ... show more

We got this for my dad who is 91 and in assisted living - he has a LONG walk to the dining room, so we thought this would be ideal. And it is. The quality is apparent, especially if compared side-by-side to other scooters. It's easy to use and doesn't take much practice at all! This is a great chair for the money. It comes apart easily and goes from pavement to grass and gravel without difficulty. I was surprised how long the battery last. I wanted a chair that felt comfortable for a little bit larger person. As yet, there has not been a downside. It breaks into pieces for the van. There may be some more light weight and easier to load but for the money you can't beat this one. I love my scooter. It easily fits in the small elevator at my apartment complex. Has good pick up and go. It had some charge on the battery but I charged it as instructed in the easy to understand instructions. I ride it to church. Everyone loves it.
