The media could not be loaded. I love this thing!! Me and my brother have been wanting a fireplace in our home for about 30 years. Finally I was able to get one for my mom...but it's unfortunate that me and my brother no longer live there! I could've installed this thing into the wall, but I opted for wall mounting it instead in case my mom didn't like it. It was easy to do and the installation wasn't hard at all, but the instructions were just not the most clear sometimes. Like taking off the glass to put in the rocks and sticks - the instructions made it look like there was only one screw holding it on, and it took about 5 minutes later for me and my friend to realize that the instructions were wrong and there were actually 5 screws holding it on. Things like that made it slightly harder to install than it should've been, but I guess that's half on me, too. Overall though, the fireplace is fantastic. It has a lot of colors to go through but my favorite is the red/orange combo, I think it looks the most realistic. The heat is great. I had a space heater in the basement before this fireplace, which barely warms it up, but I actually had to turn this off halfway through the evening because the room got so hot. The fire image that comes up I think has a pattern (which is something that bothers me, so I look out for it), but it's actually really hard to tell. I tried for a long time to stare and figure out how quickly the pattern repeats, but it's hard to tell when it does, if it does at all. I'm assuming it does, because it would be insane if it didn't, but it's very very NOT obvious. Which is good for me!! Overall I love this thing. this is perfect for what i needed. I purchased a Dimplex for upstairs and it was $600 so when i finished my basement i wanted to save a few bucks. well for $300 this is perfect for what i wanted. realistictly it doesnt compare to top dollar units but its excellent. only a few colors to chose from but honestly if you are looking for realistic look red and light red is all you need and it has it. I replaced the rocks with glass diamond chips i purchased on amazon for about $6 a bag (needed 2) and it improved the look 100%. highly reccomended to do this, it brings the colors out to sparkle alot more. unfortunately they dont include the glass.. definetly a mistake by the company. all in all i recommend this unit to people that are ok with it not being a top brand look, heater works great though.. if you are looking for more realistic look you may want to consider the more expensive units like dimplex but for my finished basement it was perfect ... show more

The media could not be loaded. This is exactly what I've been wanting. I love the look of the flames and being able to choose heat or no heat. I plan to build a mount for this under my TV. It does come with instructions though I feel like it's pretty straightforward and easy to use. The remote is a must. When I received it, there was a sticker saying "touch screen" on it which is where the buttons are. Without the sticker it looks nicer but the buttons completely disappear which is why I use the remote. I think if this is something you've been considering, go ahead and get this. Amazon delivered super fast as well. It has multiple color choices as well as levels of "flame". In my video I show this. Additionally there are a few levels of heat which is perfect for my needs. It comes assembled with rocks and sticks outside of the enclosure. It's easy to open and add if you want but I like the look without them. This is meant to mount inside of a wall cavity which is why I'm planning to build a frame for it or you could have it permanently mounted in one area. ... show more

The fireplace was easy to install on the wall (wall mount is not included, but only cost me $6 extra) It even comes with some white rocks and fake logs to make it look more realistic. To install, they tell you that you will need two people, and most will. If you are determined and strong enough, you can do it by yourself like I did. It puts out a surprising amount of heat on low or high setting. It is a tad loud but no more then any other space heater I have used. I love the variety of color options you can select along with the touchscreen panel that only appears when you touch that area. I am very happy with this purchase.
