  • Easy to follow wiring diagram simplify wiring your electric fans. RED to 12VDC positive battery terminal, COFFEE to Fan Positive, BLACK to Ignition, GREY to Sending Unit per wiring diagram. Direct replacement part fits 10, 12, 14, and 16 inch cooling fans. For dual fan wiring, you would need two of this relay kit
  • Temperature switch turns on fan approximately at 185 Degrees and Off at 175 Degrees. The temp sensor has a 3/8 inch pipe thread, and a 1/2 inch adapter included
  • This electric cooling fan thermostat kit comes with everything you need, includes 40A relay, wiring harness, thermostat switch, 3/8 inch to 1/2 inch adapter, inline fuse holder, 20 amp fuse, 1 spade connector for the temp sensor, 4 ring terminals and 2 wire connectors
  • The thermostat supplied with this kit is OE style to mount in the cylinder head of the engine or any water jacket if needed. The thermostat MUST be grounded through the threads to the engine in order for it to work, and the engine MUST be grounded
  • If you intend to mount high-profile fans, you could crimp or solder bigger wires to it. The 14AWG wires (15 amps) are not bigger enough for high amps draw

    • Wrong wiring diagram
Many of you like me found that this relay didn’t work. That’s because the wiring diagram is wrong. The black wire is supposed to go to the thermostat switch and the white wire goes to the ignition.

    • Temp control and relay
The kit came quick and looks nice. I am not certain the switch works as I attempted to bench test with a propane torch. however I may not have gotten the sensor hot enough or it did not like the ground. The only reason it gets 4 stars is there is no plug for the sensor in the kit. I get you can use a spade connector which there was not one in the kit however if there was a actually automotive grade plug it would bring this to the next level. Overall good product I like it and it should be perfect ... show more

This is a great value for the buck. The thermostatic sensor is worth the price of the kit, Easy to install. Directions could be better. But still very impressed

    • Good except temp switch
Heavy duty wiring, and relay worked but temp sensor worked 1 time and now it comes on around 180 deg F but wont shut off until the car is cooled back down to 70 deg F. Will replace this switch
