I've been a long time R/C hobbyist long before remote flying models were called drones(e.g. planes & helicopters). This is my first drone and have been wowed by the Holy Stone HS720E. Although I have wanted a camera flying drone for years after seeing my friends DJI Phantom; however, I couldn't see spending the $800-$1500 in something that I can crash and break or lose like I have done many times with my R/C hobby is the past. Recently, I have seen many competitors bringing the price down on these drones offering the same features of the high cost manufacturers. I was hesitant in falling into the cheapest price trap since I was always a believer of "you get what you pay for" but after immense research of reading many reviews online I am SO GLAD I MADE THE PURCHASE OF THE HS720E by Holy Stone. This thing is incredible, very high quality, does all the features that my friends $1000 drone does and comes with a really nice case, is compact, durable, easy to fly and provides amazing videos and pictures. I have been wowed and am now a firm believe of Best Value Shopping is real!!! First, I must say that the case is of very high quality rubberized material and definitely provides great protection and is custom fit to have the drone, remote, battery, charger all fit in snug without movement. The instruction booklet is well written and had me up flying and taking awesome videos as soon as my batteries were charged. Even more important is the quality of materials, design, and build of the drone and remote. This screams high quality and when in flight the drone is so stable even on fairly windy days. The flight time is great too. I flown for over 20 minutes each time and each time there was still more flight time left on the battery to go longer; however, I didn't want to take any chances. The "return to home" feature really works well and a couple of times I lost site of the drone but hit that button and the drone within minutes appeared right over my head. The follow function and point of interest work really well too. I am an engineer by trade and quite a stickler when it comes to quality of electronics and I am really impressed with this. Holy stone makes quality drones and really provides some hefty competition against those popular High Dollar drones you see at bestbuy. The Holy Stone HS720E Drones with Camera for Adults 4K is fantastic and I highly recommend it to anyone seeking an easy-to-fly drone. It boasts many professional features for under $300, and it's remarkably sturdy and user-friendly, almost flying. I considered first purchasing a DJI drone, which cost over $1500 - $2000, however at age 72 and with limited drone experience, I was hesitent about flying it due to its high price. To my surprise, the Holy Stone has made learning to fly simple, and to date I've had no crashes into trees or the ground. When comparing the Holy Stone to a DJI, the build quality and feel seem similar. I really appreciate the craftsmanship when folding or unfolding it. Unlike other low-cost drones, which often look flimsy and lack features, the Holy Stone stands out with its durability and functionality. Another major advantage of the Holy Stone is that for around $300, you get a multi-feature, well-built drone with two batteries, a controller, extra set of propellers, and a nicely designed carrying case. The only downside to date has been that the batteries take a long time to charge (about 5 hours), and currently, there’s no fast charger available. Therefore, I have purchased two additional batteries. The drone consistently provides 20-25 minutes of flight time per battery, and with the camera and landing lights, flying at night has been fun. The video quality is outstanding, with effective EIS that delivers stable footage even in windy conditions. The 4K EIS Anti-Shake Camera with Sony Sensor: HS720E GPS drone boasts a cutting-edge 4K(3840 x 2160) camera with Electric Image Stabilization (EIS) technology, ensuring crystal-clear videos free from blurring.     • Great drone, read on for a very honest review.
It looks great. takes off well and returns. but I got it for the 4k camera functions. Full honesty time. I got the drone and the camera must not have been properly set up in the factory during initial assembly or something, some molex connector was not properly seated in the mobo. I contacted customer service which was a little annoying. They didnt read my notes and would ask me to try and do things that I had already detailed that I had done. Several time in a row. Then I was asked to record myself on video going through the same steps again. This is where I was fed up with things. They later explained that the video was not for proof that I wasnt trying to cheat them or something but so that it could be reviewed and used for training because the kind of problem I was having they had not encounted before. They did set me up with an entirly new drone, which was to be a gift for my father in the first place. The drone itself is amazing. It flys great the camera which is a 4k camera by Sony is amazing, the image stabalizing feature works great. when you hit the button for it to return it comes straight back and lands with in inches of where it took off from. I havent seen the other features tested my self like the follow me option. The App for the phone I have seen used and have used it myself a little in testing and it works great as well. it works naturally with the remote, the design and function was well thought out. I would consider getting another drone from Holy stone and keeping it for myself if this is the kind of function I can expect from their products. Id go five star but I was really annoyed with the back and forth on of the customer service part of things with the first drone. The second one is amazing though. The drone itself is five stars for the price range all day long. My experiance with the company went past the drone itself though and they dont need to ask me to do the same thing over and over when I already told them I did it all and detailed how and what I did before they asked me to the first time.
