This 12" Chainsaw from Badger is easy to assemble, easy to use and so far works well and is very convenient to use being battery powered. The chain saw comes disassembled in box that includes the base of the chainsaw, a 12" bar with a cover, 1 chain,1 battery, 1 charger, an adjustment tool and 2 User Manuals. One of the User Manuals is for the Chainsaw and the other User Manual is for the Battery and Charger. The chainsaw was easy to assemble and took me about 15 minutes to put it together. To note, the chainsaw required a small amount of oil to be poured into its oil bottle on the base of the chain saw prior to use. It does not come with the oil so you will need to have your own on hand. Once assembled it is light weight, feels sturdy and is easy to hold. The chainsaw itself is also easy to use following the instructions in the included manual and I find that its weight and size make it easy to maneuver it when cutting. The chainsaw has a safe hand guard and double safety button that all work as expected. The chainsaw is also self-lubricating and has a visual oil bottle that easily allows you to see the amount of oil left in the chainsaw which I find to be very convenient. The battery is easy to attach and remove from the chain saw as well as from the charger. The battery has lights on it that indicate the amount of battery life which I find helpful to avoid the battery dying on you while in the middle of using it. So far the battery life seems to be good. The battery came fully charged (all lights were light on it when powered) and I have used it for about 45 minutes now to trim a tree and the battery has not fully died yet from its initial charge. However when the battery requires charging it is simply removed from the base of chain saw and placed on the charger and the charger works as expected. The chainsaw so far the chain saw seems to be pretty durable and cut well for my needs. As previously noted, so far I have used it for trimming a tree. The tree is what I would consider to be medium in size and the was able to efficiently and easily cut through branches of varying diameters with largest being about 6" with out having any issues with it so far. However I do wish that the chainsaw included an extra chain to have on hand just in case to make it a little more convenient that having to buy replacement blades separately. Also note, the chain saw comes with a blade cover to keep protected when not in used however at the price point it would have been nice if were to have included a case for storage and to keep all parts like the chainsaw, battery, charger and manuals together, organized and protected as well as make it easy to take on the go it needed. After use I find cleaning the chainsaw is pretty typical for cleaning a chainsaw, there is nothing I find easier or harder about cleaning this one, it just is just one of those tasks that is what is. Overall, so far this battery powered 12" chainsaw by Badger seems to be durable, cut well, has a good battery life, has a quick set up, is light-weight and easy to use that makes if great for smaller jobs around the yard, I only wish it came with a storage case to keep it organized when not in use and it would be nice if an extra chain were included however the product came as expected, so far aIl am happy with it and it fits my needs for trimming the trees and bushes I need it for. ... show more
