We are mostly using this to cut firewood for our fire pit, so there is not a lot of heavy duty cutting going on. My husband's first impression was how lightweight it is, so naturally he questioned how well it was going to work. He first tried it on a log that was about 10 inches in diameter, and it worked just fine. He was able to quickly get through all of the smaller logs in our pile, and did not suffer from any pain in his shoulders or arms. Update: 10/24/24. I trimmed my neighbors Yew Bush with a hedge trimmer and used this Wild Badger chainsaw to cut the larger branches. Well, it performed miserably on a Yew Bush. The chain almost came off three or four time and did come off twice and I had to take it apart to remount the chain that fortunately did not bend at all. So, Yew Bush wood is very tough, similar to Juniper Bush wood, and this little saw just couldn't cut the mustard today. My first impression is that this is a well designed, engineered, manufactured chainsaw. The 20V battery feels heavy for its size indicating it's Amp Hour rating must be at least 4Ah. I always lube a new chain/bar with with my little red oil can before cutting anything. The built in oiler was working while I used it to cut down an invasive species bush along the fence line. It seems to have two speeds when I pull the throttle trigger. It kicks into a much faster RPM when I am cutting branches. It cuts very fast through anything three or four inches thick or less. I did not have to adjust the chain tension while using it so the tensioner is excellent. I made one tiny tension adjustment when I was done using the saw. It is quite powerful for a 20V chainsaw. The other yellow 12" 20V chainsaw that you see in one of the photos requires frequent chain tension adjustments and it already ruined one chain when the tensioner allowed the chain to get too loose during use and it jumped off of the drive sprocket and bent the chain.
