I don’t need a mobile phone to check/schedule charges or to prepare to “fill” a vehicle when it is somewhere else. I also like the ability to adjust amperage, as I don’t need to use 40 amps most of the time. I mounted this on the garage wall and do everything necessary from the screen. While the product appeared to be nicely built once unpacked, once plugged in, the screen kept flickering as though there were some faulty wiring in the unit. Product was returned without any hassle.

    • Great Portable EVSE
I already have a 240 Volt EVSE connected to my garage, so I keep this one in my car to use as a portable EVSE. So far it has worked great. The screen gives you good information such as voltage charging, current charging, watts, and kilowatt hours charged. You also get a handful of adapters in the box in case you encounter something like a NEMA 5-20 plug. The handle also feels a lot nicer than other chargers I have used. The handle itself is rubberized and the button to release the handle has a very nice, snappy and satisfying action. It is also worth noting that this charger is compatible with 240 volts, although it does not include any adapter to plug it into such an outlet. ... show more

Favorable experience using this Level 1 & 2 EV charger. This is a well designed portable charger. The unit is compact- so it's definitely small enough to bring along. Thus far, I'm impressed with the performance of this EV charger. As far as the speed of the charge, I find it comparable to OEM- perhaps a slight advantage in speed. The features that are provided by this EV are excellent. At this point, I find that this definitely was a good decision. Below, I would like to further explain the factors I considered prior to deciding this would ultimately be my final choice. *Design: Designed with Smart technology- Charging Plug- NEMA 5-20 Plug - Fast Charge *Functionality: Level 2 charges 4x faster charge compared to Level 1 EV charger *LED smart screen- easy to read and follow prompts *Schedule charge times with the ability to monitor in "Real time" - this was a big factor *Long charging cord: 26.5 ft cable *Portable bag to carry when you travel *Dimensions for your reference: 9.72 x 3.97 x 2.09 inches with a weight of 6.17 lbs *Input Voltage: 240 Watts *Safety protection: 10 points of safety features- these are excellent to have in place *Compatible with all EVs and PHEVs Overall, I find this to be a decent charger. The materials used are of good grade. For me, the ability to monitor the charging process has been an extremely helpful resource.     • Amazing charger!
I have a 2016 Audi Etron and had been using the charger it came with which took about 8 hours for a full charge, but this one can get a full charge in 2ish hours! I love that it tells you the energy and time too, so you can kind of guess how long it will take to get a full charge and how much charge you can get in in a given time frame. I also like the wall mount it came with and that you can remove the charger from the mount easily. Our previous charger was either permanently mobile or permanently wall mount, so the versatility of this one is great! ... show more
