This is a great EV charger, nice features like adjustable amperage settings, which allows to adapt the charging speed based on the user needs and available power supply. The charger's compatibility with a wide range of voltage inputs (110V-240V) makes it versatile, especially when during traveling and have access to different types of outlets. The 20ft cable length is convenient and gives me the flexibility to park my car at a reasonable distance from the power source. However, I deducted a couple of points from my rating because I found the build quality to be decent but not exceptional. It's sturdy enough for regular use, and seems durable. Also, comes with a storage bag or case, which is a nice addition. Overall, it does the job efficiently, offers flexibility, very portable, great build quality and accessories. ... show more

The charger worked fine for about 5 or 6 months. It was always attached to the same outlet and car and was inside. There is some kind of a catastrophic failure that happens which causes it to melt quickly and rapidly. This was over the period of about an hour. There was sparking happening between the 110 adapter (that comes with the charger) and the charger itself. I am not sure which part is to blame. Previously I had noticed that the plug would get hot while charging. I found this slightly concerning, but thought it was just the nature of car chargers and that the cable looked thick enough for it to be fine. Looking at the other reviews I can see that others have had a similar meltdown. I think the product needs to be pulled and the issue needs to be fixed. If you have one now, you're probably not reading this, but in general be careful around car chargers. ... show more

My garage outlet shares the circuit breaker with a freezer. This EV charger allows me to set the maximum current to 10 amps leaving 5 amps for the freezer so both can operate at the same time without tripping the breaker. It works perfectly. It has a nice display with volts, amps and other charge information but once its going its a nice plug it in and forget about it charger. The cables are nice flex well so its easy to connect and disconnect then wrap over the holder for the cable I have. I would recommend this to anyone that needs a simple charger that the amperage is adjustable on. ... show more

This charger seemed to work as expected. One slight issue was that. I had this set for 16A but I never saw this higher than 14.8A. It did however fully charge my Prius Prime in a little over two hours as opposed to 5 hours for the level 1 charger supplied by Toyota.

I've had this for over a year now and it's still going strong. On its highest setting it seems like it charges faster than the public 6.6 kWh chargers that I usually use. On its lowest setting I can leave it plugged in overnight. The display is handy for showing charging statistics, I can tell how much I've put into my car without having to turn it on while its charging. I've used this charger outdoors in the snow and rain, and in 100 degree weather, without a single hiccup. I've dropped the charging gun on the concrete more than a couple times and it's still working great. I do wish that the charger had a built in timer setting or other way to stop charging automatically. However, for what it is, this is an excellent piece of hardware and I'm glad I bought it. ... show more

20-month review: After 20 months, I'm pretty happy with this charger, especially considering the price. I've been using it daily at Level 1 full power for around 16 months. I get around 6.25 kWh in around 3.5 hours. We rarely travel with it, because getting it back in the travel case is a pain and I don't want a ton of cables all over the place in my trunk. The display has some burn-in, since it's always on, but it's still usable. My two biggest complaints are 1) that if I want to change the charging speed, I have to do it every time instead of setting it once and forgetting it and 2) I can't look at how many kWh were supplied after I unplug my car (minor annoyance, really, but I always forget to look before disconnecting). ------------------------------------------------------ Original Review: For me, it performs the functions advertised at 120V. When selecting the different amp limits, it seems to actually limit to about 90% of the selected limit; I run it at 15 Amps, but the actual current is 13.7 amps. When I set it to 12 Amps, it was a bit below 11 amps. I’m guessing this is as intended, but I feel like they should just indicate the actual limits you’re selecting. Also, I do feel like the cord is shorter than it should be. ... show more
