I was already a fan of Ego battery-powered lawn and garden products so was eager to try this for my gutters. I've been really happy with it. No more ladders or hiring people to climb up and clean. The blower is plenty strong (at least for leaves that aren't thoroughly soaked), and it has a button for a sort of turbo-boost as well to help with the wet biomass. The gutter attachment is perfect for reaching gutters up to about 15' off the ground (in my case). By angling it just right, you can really clear them out. The gutter attachment comes in short pieces that easily screw together and then come apart for storage. It took me some practice to get good at positioning it and keeping it where I wanted with the attachment on, because of the length. Once I mastered it, my gutter cleaning went quickly and smoothly. (Downside: it might rain leaves down on you, if you stand directly underneath. So wear a hat. :) If you have a lot of gutters to blast, or if they're really full or the leaves are very soggy, you might opt for a larger Ego battery--they're not more powerful, but they last longer before you have to swap them or recharge. ... show more

Why a 5* review? Because, EGO products themselves deserve 15*, minus 10* for their factual non existent customer service, which brings it to a 5. So, when I managed to bring all these extension pieces together including the last part which is the exhaust, I gave it a try and after a couple of serious attempts, and failures, I finally succeeded. Preparations are key: one needs a head protection, an eye protection and a good portion of muscles to hold and balance out this thing. Ah, I forgot to mention the ear protection because once connected to my 530 CFM blower head, my blower transformed into an aircraft just before taking off the strip. To my guess in the range of 100 decibel +. Finally, if you suffer from lumbago or arthritis, you need to recover first, or get a good massage after the job is done. Other than that: when you hold the blower, the position of the hole of the exhaust should face down to you, so these two pieces, the small extension and the exhaust connected together then look like a reversed “U”. Got it? You need to hold the blower itself in one hand and with the other hand you need to hold tight the first extension piece, the one which is connected to the blower itself. If you have abilities kind of like a circus artist, the ones who can balance out and spin plates on an extension pole, you are definitely a winner. I pointed the hole of the exhaust piece approximately 2-4 inches away from the micro mesh of our gutters and then gave it a full blast. Man, even the tiniest pieces like shingles debris were blown away, amazing! Actually, my first attempts to work with this tool were not really successful, because the exhaust piece started to spin off the small extension piece and it fell off to the ground (lucky me that I did’n’t need to climb on the roof). It all depends on the angle direction on how you point the exhaust piece to the gutter itself and on the distance from the gutter. For me it worked out having the hole of the exhaust piece pointed almost directly on the surface of the micro mesh in a distance of approximately 2-4 inches from the micro mesh itself. The force of the air blown out of the hole is immense. Trust me, it is. It makes the entire construction shake and tremble. A humorous final note: When I started to start the cleaning process of the micro mesh on the front gutters, within minutes an audience of neighbors gathered in a safe distance from our property, looking in pure astonishment at me and asking themselves: what the hack is this guy doing there? Well, you need to know that in our Panhandle neighborhood there are people living who still think that the Firebird is the latest invention in the world of US cars and if you tell them about “EV”, they understand “ET”.     • Keeps me off the ladder
Style: Gutter Cleaning Attachment Kit for Blower
I had previously cleaned my gutters by hand which involved me being on a ladder and moving the ladder repeatedly, it usually took me a few hours and a lot of profanity. The difficulty also meant I cleaned them once a year when they got absolutely full of leaves, dirt, and debris. When your gutter starts to sprout oak seedlings you have waited too long. With the blower attachment, I walk around the house and blow out the gutters from the ground. Takes me about a half hour without the hassle of the ladder in my wife's flower beds.     • Powerful Enough to Do the Job
Style: 530 CFM Blower Kit w/ 2.5 Ah Battery
I kept putting off the leaf blower purchase wondering if the LB5302 would be powerful enough. Maybe I needed the more powerful one or maybe the most powerful one. Along with more power comes a higher price. So I finally bought the 5302. Rest assured, it will easily do the chores a homeowner needs to do. Plenty of power for blowing off the patio, de-leafing the garden and cleaning rain gutters. This is not a toy.
