I bought these and waited until I had a few things for a handyman to come out and do. I was a little unsure about the pattern since I could get tired of it or it goes out of style etc. While we never know how we will feel over time, I can’t imagine ever not loving them. The pattern is beautiful but subtle and soft. I don’t know how well they will perform over time, but the blackout panel is simple to pull down or retract. It’s neatly behind the beautiful fabric. The clips allow for a variety of lengths. My first thought was to do woven, but I’m so glad I didn’t since these seem easy to clean. BUT with minor adjustments during installation the Roman shade will contribute nicely to our decor. Polyester fabric is easy to maintain. The media could not be loaded. They cover a lot more of the window when fully up than I would have liked but it’s no big deal. The screws are garbage though and strip out if you look at them sideways, they appear to be made of some sort of cheese-steel alloy. I love these shades. We got them this weekend and they were so easy to install. If you want them to be truly light blocking, measure for an inside mount. You only need about 1/2 to 3/4 of an inch to mount these inside the window. I had never installed shades so I opted to mount externally which doesn't block all the light.
