This arrived finally, 5 weeks later. I was worried, but it did arrive. It is very nice and simple. Beautiful black matte color. No protection covering (raw wood with stain base) but I can solve that with spray polyurethane for outdoor use on my front security door. I could mount it indoor or outdoor. I bought this for the customized sizing for covering my metal security door from the blasting sun and heat. I like that it was custom to size to avoid blocking the door handle from use, but still covering the glass fully from side to side and top to bottom. ... show more

I bought 1 of these and put it up (in a sunroom) to see if we would like it and we did so, we bought a second one. Within a few days of putting up the second one, the first one erupted in black mold. Unfortunately, it was just past the 30-day return window, so I was stuck with it, but I decided then and there to return the second one while I still could. These were not rained on or in the weather, this is a screened room. I have to believe that these shades came from China with mold spores in them because NOTHING else in this room has any mold on it. It's a shame because these looked really nice when I put them up, but they cannot be cleaned and will just keep getting moldy. I am still waiting for a shipping label to return the second one and it is now covered in mold. I am glad I was able to return it but not happy I lost $40+ because it was too late to return the first one. ... show more

This is perfect for my purpose, but I not plan to use it as an actual shade. I'm a weaver and wanted stiff spacing within my warp. This is perfect for my loom size. I will definitely purchase at least one more (later) and will recommend it to others in my fiber guild. I like not having a bunch of loose slats falling on the floor behind my loom. These are excellent for a natural look but there are no finial ends for the cords, so you need to buy those separately so that they don't tangle. I also don't love that there is no valance covering the hook and eyes. Other than that, good natural look on a budget.
