Bought eight of these as replacements for aging Schlage units. Install was fairly straight forward and they look good. After a couple months, they have all begun to fail. The pin that retains the handle wears and then fails - leaving you with the handle in your hand and a door that is still closed. Pushing the handle back on allows for a careful turn and pull to open the door, but this is totally unacceptable. Unfortunately, the return window of sixty days has expired so I must purchase new sets. Buyer beware - you get what you pay for. These are definitely not the same quality as American made commercial passage hardware. April 8th update - Well I'm going to eat some crow here. It turns out that I had not adjusted the threaded collar properly causing the issue. Once adjusted, the handle snaps over the retaining pin and stays put and the operation is as smooth as silk. I changed my rating from 1 to 5 stars and apologize for going off half-cocked without checking my work... ... show more

I tried to save money on a grade 2 lever by buying this one. It saved money, but as I was installing it, I discovered that it had no anchor posts to help secure it to the metal door on which it was being installed. It would make a great heavy-duty lever on a residential door, but I wouldn't recommend it for commercial/metal doors. ... show more
