  • Baby's first smoker
Style: Large Signature Grill
If I had to do over I would have gotten a more expensive smoker all together. Which I'm in the process now. If I was looking in this price range I would get the Old Country BBQ Pits Pecos. A sturdier, heavier better built Smoker. You cant get a better smoker at MSRP than that in this price range. Anyway, I had this smoker for over a year. Its not a bad smoker. For the price you can't get much better. It gets the job done. I made some delicious viddles on it. But you have to babysit it because of its thin frame, IE lack of mass. Invest in a good wireless thermometer. This grill is a charcoal grill but I use wood. I have the side firebox. I took the grate out and but a basket in, and wood works fine. For me it easier to maintain temps with wood than with charcoal briquettes. Pluses Large cooking chamber. Sturdy Stack drafts very well Minus Lid was warped. Leaked like a sieve when I first got it. Used Lavalock gasket tape to seal booth doors. Stack is connected at top of the cooking chamber instead of at the middle, at grate level. To allow for smoke to pull across the food. Rust at all the spot wields. I have mine covered when not in use, but condensation still leads to rust Thermometer on smoker fogged up immediately AND is placed at the top of cooking chamber and not at grate level. Hot air rises and nothing is cooking up there. A waste. Again invest in wireless thermometer so you can get temps at grate level. Optimal for Franks chicken burgers Ribs Steaks sausages Quick stuff Sub-optimal for Brisket Pork shoulder/ Port butt Any Large cut of meat that's going to be smoking for a long long time. ... show more

  • It could be a nice grill... but
Style: Large Signature Grill
Firstly let us say some of the nice stuff about this: - It is sturdy, heavy duty and looks to be fairly well made. - the grills themselves are almost heavier than the barrel section, so it is solid construction. - The packaging was pretty compact considering the size/ Now, problems. - There was no instruction book, it had the bag for the book... just no book. - The handle for the grill door had only one bolt/nut. the other was just not in there. - There was a sizable gouge in the grill itself that was not from shipping, It was in the box which had no piercing marks. - There was another stripped off area of finish near the doors that was obviously during production but still passed through. - The smoke stack lid is not in any way flush. Quite the opposite, there is 1/2 inch of space between it and the pipe. All in all I gave it two stars because it is well constructed... if I ever get it together since I do not have the instructions how. It is Saturday and their support is unavailable. I will look it up online and go to the hardware store to replace the bolt/nut I need but I did not PAY to do something like that. I PAID them for a full product and they did not provide it. ... show more

  • Great grill but came with dents and scratches.
Style: Large Signature Grill
Great grill for the price ($300 if you include taxes) but it came with over 10 noticeable scratches and 3 dents. As you can see from the first photo we assembled it on cardboard and on grass. My husband hadn’t noticed the scratches and dents bc it had dusty marks all over it which came off later with a wipe of a wet towel. He already started to assemble the legs when I came out to help and inspected it thoroughly. That is when I noticed all the dents and scratches. I will admit most of the issues are on the back side of the grill but it shouldn’t have any since it is new. Amazon allows free pickup for exchange/returns and we would do it if we didn’t already mangle the box when we opened it and didn’t need it for a 50 guest BBQ right away. Seems like more of hassle trying to pack it back up then just dealing with the cosmetic issues. Overall it is a good buy and we would recommend this grill for the charcoal and wood grillers out there. Fairly easy to assemble with a helping hand. It’s a solid heavy large piece and worth the price. It just sucks it came with all the dents and scratches. C’est la vie. ... show more

  • Not what I expected for the money
Style: Small Signature Grill
Overall I am happy to have a barrel grill and smoker (purchased separately). However, I think I could have gotten equivalent quality with a cheaper brand. The smoker was pretty easy to assemble by myself and is a good weight. Right off the gasket that goes to the chimney ripped, womp womp. So I have greasy smoke that leaks down my grill on the side. I also noticed right away the amount of leaks! I cant seem to hold a temp higher than 250/275 if Im really piling on the charcoal. Its also disappointing to see the paint peeling off on the inside of both the smoker box and grill. I have had another brand in the past and havent had the amount of smoke pour out nor the issues with paint peeling. I also dont like the grill racks as personal preference, Id prefer cast iron as opposed to these coated ones. No idea what they are made of or coated with or how ling those will last but Im pretty diligent about trying to keep them clean and being really nice with them while doing so. ... show more

  • I would not recommend purchasing a grill from Dynaglo
Style: Small Signature Grill
I would not recommend purchasing a grill from Dynaglo. My lid had a welding defect (see photo) and the left hinge broke away from the lid and therefore this assembly needed to be completely replaced. Rather than disassemble the whole grill and send back to Amazon I chose to pursue a replacement lid under warranty. I had conversations with two different customer service reps on 2 successive days and they both promised a response that day once I emailed them proof of purchase. They were less than friendly and I still don’t have any response. Not very good customer service in my book. ... show more

  • decent
Style: Small Signature Grill
These are made in China and were previously sold under the Brinkmann brand it seems. Unit arrived with a few dents and scratches due to all parts being somewhat loosely packed inside the barrel. Some areas did not get a full coat of paint resulting in rust upon delivery. Lack of an ash catcher is its main flaw. Quite a few gaps around the lid. Still decent but would not suggest paying more than the current $100 for it. ... show more
