  • Great Construction But Shrinks Too Much
Size: 10x12 Feet
In N Texas the sun eats up even the most expensive and "premium" vinyl tarps within a couple summers. These heavy canvas tarps are the only ones that last me 4-5 yrs or more. By treating every couple years with UV protectant and waterproofing and by turning and flipping them from time to time, I've gotten at least 7-8 yrs out of these. This one seems very tough and well constructed.Grommet install is well reinforced. Canvas is well treated and repels water very nicely when stretched at an inclined. Negatives - it really stinks; a strong petroleum/grease kinda stink. Do not plan on using or even opening it indoors. The tarp is damp with it (which is actually a good thing). Objects can absorb the smell, like boat seat cushions and lumber. I've had the stink linger as long as a year or more. And it's much heavier than any vinyl tarp so more difficult to sling around. UPDATE NEGATIVE! Had to drop 5 star to 3 because of shrinkage. It's bad enough that they list an 11'6" tarp as a 12 footer (which they tell you so), but it has shrunk down to almost 10' 6", over 10%! As far as water proofing goes, my practice with canvas tarps has always been to keep them tight, slanted and as clear of the objects below as possible.. As long as the water can run off and contact between canvas and object are kept to a minimum, I've only had moisture break through after only the biggest downpours of a few inches within a day. Other than that extreme, everything stays dry. I wouldn't use it for something that had to stay absolutely dry. But for a trailer, vehicle, firewood, etc, it's a fair trade-off for not having to replace a waterproof vinyl tarp every year or 2. ... show more

  • Questionable for hauling but jury is still out.
Size: 10x12 Feet
8/18/18 - Just used it for the first time. Tarp runs a good bit smaller than I would have guessed. 10X12 model doesn't come with in a foot of covering the long dimension of my 6X12 landscape trailer.......seems a bit more than just hems....should get me by as I bought it to cover dump runs and that should (barely) be close enough. I'm not at all impressed that 2 of the eyelets fell out on first trip, including one I wasn't even using, and by "trip" I mean FOUR miles round trip from here to the dump. On the upside, the canvas seems heavy enough so hopefully, after I get eyelets to stay in it should do me better than the plastic cheapies I've been buying about 3 times a freakin' year...lol. I'll raise/lower my rating as appropriate after I put some more miles on it. UPDATE 9/19/18 Just took SECOND FOUR MILE trip to the dump (covering only lidded garbage cans with no sharp edges. Yeah, it was flapping a little at the back as I had a short load but have I mentioned it was FOUR MILES???? Tarp lost more eyes and shredded. Only reason I didn't just leave it at the dump is to take the attached photo. Guess I'll just buy the plastic ones by the dozen as apparently NO ONE can make a real tarp in my price range!!! UPDATE 9/20/18 I asked Amazon for warranty info at the link provided. To my disappointment, Amazon simply forwarded my email to the seller who clearly posted a 30 day return policy. Fortunately, the seller did what I asked Amazon for and provided me a link to the manufacture. I took a shot and emailed the manufacturer and, to my surprise, received a prompt reply. The lady from the company indicated her agreement I shouldn't have had this problem and asked for additional photographs, which I sent her. She has indicated that a new tarp will be shipped. Time will tell if I get a better one and I'll update my review accordingly when I find out. ... show more

  • Waxy
Size: 10x12 Feet
Nice heavy material, but it is extremely waxy and smells bad. I used it to cover a small tractor, but the hot Texas sun caused it to leave wax deposits on the tractor. It molds to the tractor when it's hot and then as the temperature goes down, it gets stiff. The smell seems to be diminishing.

  • Good Tarp but ...
Size: 10x12 Feet
This is a good heavy duty tarp. However, it has a very strong chemical smell to it. I'm keeping it because I am covering my garden tractor and trailer with it. I would not use it for a ground tarp under a tent. The odor is too strong.

  • Great for the price!
Size: 10x12 Feet
Bought this to use as a cover for our chickens pen. It’s a nice thick material with a waterproof coating on it. So far it seems to be working very well. I like that there are reinforced eyelet holes along each side. We were able to zip tie it all the way around so the wind can’t catch it. It did get snagged on a piece of fence wire that was sticking up and a hole poked in it. But so far it hasn’t torn. Overall I am very happy with the quality and price. ... show more

  • Pass on drytop
Size: 10x12 Feet
These tarps are ok for wood piles but have lots of little holes in them. Not for complete dryness

  • Tarp
Size: 10x12 Feet
Used this tarp for a grill cover, instead of an overpriced replacement grill cover. It's heavy enough so it stays put. Hasn't rained yet, but it's supposed to be waterproof

  • Nice tarp
Size: 10x12 Feet
This is a very well made and excellent tarp. But, it is not 10x12. In the small print it has the actual size. This was a bit disappointing as we wanted the 10x12
