Description

This BLAZE™ 100 foot laser measure is a fully featured tool with a brighter graphic display and new user-interface design for easier measuring. The graphic display illuminates numbers with distinct resolution, for work in low- light or no-light conditions and better readability. The display features intuitive icons, big-number mode and upgraded contrast to make it easier to read. The user-friendly layout features two-button operation: one for measuring, one for rounding. The rounding button is a unique function that allows user to easily round the measurement result from 1/2 up to 1/32 inch. It has default real-time measurement mode, immediately providing accurate measurement that automatically adjusts closer to or farther from the target. The laser measure features an enhanced user interface, including a click wheel for easy setting and function navigation. Its keypad design includes a standalone recessed measuring button, to make it easy to distinguish just by feel. The grip is slimmer, making the laser easier to handle. This compact measurer is easy to carry and fits in your pocket. It features full rubber overmold housing, which helps protect every major point, with a design similar to a roll cage.

Shirt pocket size conveniece with easy to use settings! I love the one button push for measurement lock. Simple controls and easy to read screen I do a lot of home trim work, artwork installation and window blind measurement/ installation. When a client says "Center the art on that wall at this height"... done. Also great for multiple pieces on the same wall. No tape measure was ever this fast. I've used this unit on several occasions for trim and checked against my tape measure (just for sanity sake) 98% of the time it was dead on. I honestly think if a measurement was off there was a blemish on the wall I was measuring that threw it off. You'll get the same, if not worse, with a tape measure. (1/16 of an inch doesn't get any closer). Well worth the money in qualty, performance and time savings. Note* I originally ordered a new unit, however, what I received had obviously shipped out previously (and returned) as the batteries in a factory package won't come unwrapped and the box seal wouldn't be broken.     • Easy to read - designed for pros

I've ordered a few others before that are cheap(ish). There are many that seem to think the users of these tools are dainty i/Apple users. No rubber padding, gleaming smooth surfaces, colorful yet tiny display fonts - what were those designers thinking?! No, I am glad to say that this unit had someone who actually either do DIY/Trade work or spoke to some people who actually use this. And this is for the US / Imperial non metric market. It displays in decent size fonts ... and in fractions. So for US / Canada users, this is way better than many which only show decimal Imperial measurements. The display is white on black, and its very legible in both bright and dark situations. Acuracy - its acurate enough for my use - 1/8th ... it can do finer than that to 1/16th. And if you need to, you can always do decimal imperial, or good old metric. Honestly, metric is so much easier, but unfortunately imperial is entrenched in the construction industry so we have to still specify in imperial. This particular model is 100ft - which is way plenty for my use, but laser measures shine when use for long distances beyond 20 ft, because that's when a tape measure then becomes difficult to manage. This is especially useful when setting up target practices (though most likely you'll use a range finder for those applications). Honestly, this is plenty good for my use. There are fancier models that help you calculate various compound calculations, and memory functions - such as area, but really - what you likely be actually using is a quick beep to get the measurement across a room/s. ... show more

It's pretty light weight and relatively small. I would have given it 5 stars, however, while it is easy to use, it does not include any operating instructions, (just some safety instructions). So you do need to figure out how to use it. You can make adjustments to how finite you want to measure a distance, i.e. to the nearest 1/4 of an inch, 1/8th of an inch or 11/16th of an inch, etc. I have found it to be very accurate, however, I have also read some reviews in which people have complained that accuracy is a little off. I wonder if they haven't figured out how to set the degree of measuring -- since there aren't instructions. It's pretty simple and straight forward and came a basic price point. More expensive ones have more features, such as. calculations, memory, etc. I haven't need any of the more advanced features so this has been great for me. ... show more

I love this laser measurer. It saves SO much time. The size is amazing to stick in a pocket and use on the go. I have had zero issues seeing the line and find this one of the handiest tools I have in my DIY arsenal.
