This insert is very nice and well built. Our main complaint is that the fan is not very strong. We use it to keep a relatively small TV room warm, in cold weather, it does not keep. It’s a great beautiful electric fire place. Heat is great but be aware you will need other heat in order to hear a house so be aware of that and the fire crackling is loud but you can turn it off. I found the remote worked perfectly for me and the changing the background color was super easy and beautiful and to me it looks realistic. Installing is super easy and the best part this company is legit and has a great product. I will update again if there’s any bad issues with heat during winter but so far this thing has been amazing. The only thing that I would change is maybe the crackling isn’t very realistic and is very loud. Other then that perfect. 5/5 stars. ... show more

This is a lovely unit. Love the flame and light setting - great look. It’s true what others say, the sound effect is ridiculous (will never use it). Maybe will be ok with just high or low heat setting (we had variable setting on our last unit.). Have only used on high one and got the chill out of the air. As winter arrives we will be using heat more frequently. For now love the ambience of the fire. ... show more

    • Fine but not install instructions…

We have searched the listing and operating manual for info on how to secure the fireplace insert to your walls once inserted to close the small gap and keep it from being able to slide out. There are holes to do this but you can’t access them once the glass is on, which has to be done from the back so it’s seemingly impossible to secure in. We install tons of these for clients but we have never had an install issue with absolutely no instructions for how to secure it in. ... show more

Speaker for fake fire sounds does need a volume control button, too loud. Although pretty the lights on top shine out taking away the effect. Fit perfect in fireplace.
