I have bought several different garden hoses over the years, all touting “kink free”. HAH! Baloney! They ALL kinked! Every brand, every length, all of them. This hose is of Unbelievable Quality! Beautiful, yes, (I got the orange one) :) but IT NEVER KINKS! I use it just as regularly and sometimes as roughly as all the others, and sometimes it gets snagged on something, but it HAS NEVER KINKED. I have been amazed at the performance of this product. I have used this hose for over a year now and I have to adjust my review accordingly. Initially, I rated it as a 2/5. This was because it was difficult to coil and seemed to kink easily, and because of the harmful materials used in its construction (i.e., the label recommends that one wash one's hands after handling the hose, because of the cancer-causing agents in the materials). While the materials haven't changed, I have adjusted my review to 4/5. The fittings have held up, and the hose has relaxed so it's much easier to coil and it rarely kinks. The colour is great and it's a good quality hose overall. I now have two hoses: one in orange and one purple. The darker colour seems better for cleanliness -- hides the dirt more easily. I can see a yellow hose looking great initially, but it will start to look dirty one you drag it around and handle it with garden gloves. I have found that my older (orange) hose has faded a little, as it has been exposed to the sun for longer periods. (Probably best to keep it in a shed or garage most of the time.) I shopped around for a second hose, but couldn't find anything as nice as this one, which is why I recently purchased the purple hose. To summarize: - Good overall quality, and it looks good. - Nicer than any of the hoses I have seen at places like Canadian Tire or Home Depot. - Darker colours will look best over time; will fade with prolonged exposure to the elements. - Cancer-causing agents used in the materials. ... show more

I like this Dramm hose, it is berry nice. I bought it because I wanted a quality hose that would stay flexible and not kink. It kinks. And I bought berry because my wife loves purple. Well apparently purple doesn’t go with our blue house. So about the kinking: yeah, it can kink, but - unlike plastic/vinyl/pvc i.e. non-rubber hoses - it doesn’t stay kinked or keep kinking in the same spot. If you visit their Dramm website they’ve got a Dramm hose video that shows how easily the Dramm hose kiinks when you don’t unroll it properly. Fair enough. Take a little care unrolling the Dramm hose and there won’t be any problems. Oh, and it doesn’t kink once there’s some water pressure in the hose. As for the color... Where can I get a good deal on exterior house paint? So why didn’t I give it 5 stars? Well I might have if it watered the trees and washed my car for me. Oh was that a serious question? Ok... it appears to be very well made with quality materials. On the flip side it’s a little on the heavy side. You know, like you’d expect from a quality product. I bought mine in march 2020 and it has been kept outside since. in both rain and snow and lots of sunny days. Still like the hose. Easy to unkink by flipping the hose. Very flexible. Easy to coil. Getting another one this year. As for those who say they kink and can't coil them don't listen to them. Too many good reviews and they are as good as the reviews state. I am looking for a storage container to roll the hose into or at least I think that's what I want but it will have to hold 2 50' hose connected and be easy to roll and unroll out of the storage. Hopefully there is something worth while out there. ... show more

Very heavy. When you turn to water something the wand looses from the hose and sprays everywhere. Very sturdy hose, it should last a long time.
