The DonJoy Lateral J Patella Knee Brace is equipped with a tubular, lateral "J" buttress that runs alongside the knee. This knee brace can be worn for day-to-day activities and while playing sports; both in and out of the water. Intended for those suffering from lateral patellofemoral knee pain related to the following: lateral patellar subluxation and dislocations, lateral patellofemoral malalignment, patellofemoral maltracking and pain, and chondromalacia. It's designed to provide you with multiple treatment options to best suit your needs. Choose the knee brace material between Drytex and neoprene; and with or without hinges. Drytex allows for improved airflow while still giving ample support and compression. It's preferred by those in warm weather climates and individuals with neoprene allergies or irritations. Neoprene is a thicker, wetsuit-like material. It provides plenty of support and compression, and delivers a warmer option. Ordered large for my little skinny legs thinking might be too big nope too small R. brace. So we ordered XL and now too big... cannot get our money back for either one... I tried to cancel the second after seeing they would not exchange the first... Now I can't use either one because their sizing was wrong and why cdn't the second one be cancelled before arriving... The knee brace is a lot thinner than expected. Compared to the older ones, it's not as good. It does keep the pain away though.

I ordered this brace for my 18 year old daughter. She suffered a traumatic bone bruise almost a year ago. Her doctor recommended this exact brace for her. Luckily it was in stock. I ordered on Monday afternoon, and was taking it to her at school Thursday morning. This brace has helped to keep her knee cap in place while giving her the stability she needs. She was terrified that it was going to be bulky, but to her delight, it's a very slim design, and extremely comfortable. I had looked for this brace at other sites. It gives good support and stays in place. I wore it till my pain went a way, only a day or two and took it off. My doc says you lose muscle tone and did not like back braces for more than temporary use. I have degenerative arthritis in my knee below a hip transplant with leg shank as they had to cut the knob off the femur.. ... show more
