These clippers are nothing short of spectacular. My dog has long white hair, and has that furry dense undercoat that clippers tend to get stuck in. These clippers moved through it with no problem. I like that they are battery operated instead of needing to stay plugged in. They are quiet and did not intimidate her. A few minutes in, it seemed like they weren’t working well. Then I realized that the comb was packed with hair. So every few minutes, I took the little brush and cleaned out the comb and it was good to go. There are 3 speeds, seemed to work best on level 2 for my dog. I am super pleased. Comes with lots of useful accessories. After use, clean them off and oil the blade. I have two Shih Tzus and these clippers are amazing. They are lightweight, quiet, and cordless. They hold a charge well and allow me to groom the entire dog without dying. My 8 year old, chunky cat started to develop some matting along her spine. After some research, it's commonly due to chunky cats not being able to reach around to groom themselves properly. Clipping the fur was recommended so I started looking for some clippers. I found these that had great reviews and they were affordable, however, I didn't see many reviews addressing shaving of matted fur. I decided to take the chance and ordered them and I am so happy I did! My cat has never been to a groomer so I was concerned that the noise would scare her, but it was surprisingly quiet. There was still some noise, but definitely quieter than my personal electric razors. When it came time to actually shave the hair, it glided right through. The matting put up a bit of a fight, but that seems to be normal. Once I figured it out, it was a BREEZE! I can't really speak to longevity as I've only used them once, and will likely only use them once, but they worked incredibly well for my purposes! ... show more

I would spend hours hand-cutting my dog's hair with scissors. But my poor back and hers from standing so long. I decided to try clippers but I was intimidated, for I had heard horror stories about the blade catching my dog's skin, etc. So pleased with how easily this glides with the dog's hair grain. Even cut off some gnarly mats in her underarms, back legs and belly. Like they were paper. So impressed. Suspect the blade doesn't stay sharp that long but there are replacements that can be purchased. Noticed it did cut her on the boney parts of her leg or if I was pressing too hard or against her hair grain. So I'm learning. But amateur haircut in less than 2 hours on my first attempt. Goodbye hand cutting. And no photos of my first hatchet job. LOL I plan to get much better. ... show more
