My son immediately wanted to play with this toy. The track comes semi assembled, though there is a learning curve when it comes to snapping the pieces together. If your child is 4 or younger, they may need your assistance each time they would like to change the track configuration. My 5-year-old was frustrated at first but eventually mastered it and plays independently for hours at a time. They love to watch the cars run around and play with the dinosaurs that come with the kit. My grandson (5) loves this dino track! He played with it for an hour or more, and usually he is bored with a toy within a few minutes. The track stays together nicely and the dino cars have no trouble going up the hills. They are fast and stay on the track. It is fun to play around with different track layouts.
