I always worry about the players eating my dvd and not ejecting. This unit has a great manual lid. It is really portable and lightweight. HDMI works perfectly and I am very happy with it. Great value!

This DVD player was the perfect size for my desk, around the same size as an external CD drive! It works perfectly with my mini CRT, and I've had no problems so far. It is easy to use with the remote, but I must say there is a small delay when pressing the buttons, nothing too major though. Another thing to note is that it saves your time if you eject the DVD, so the next time you play it again, it'll continue where you left off. The aspect ratio is also pretty good, but I am running a fairly tiny TV. The only complaint I have is with the USB drive, which is the main reason why I purchased this. I was looking forward to importing some files and converting them to the ones this DVD drive takes, but so far none have worked. I've tried MPEG-1, MPEG-2, and XVID, but no luck so far; all say unsupported format. I'm not sure if there's a program that can correctly format MP4 files. I'll update this review if I ever find one. For now, I have no possible way of playing videos directly from my USB, the only alternative I have is burning my own DVDs.

At first glance, the sleek and compact form of this portable DVD player was the first thing that caught my attention. It is the ideal size to fit neatly in my entertainment center without taking up an excessive amount of space that could be used for something else. The construction quality is amazing, and it has a robust and well-constructed feel to it, despite the fact that it is rather small. The adaptability of this compact DVD player is one of the aspects that sets it apart from other choices. The fact that it is not limited to a particular country means that I am able to play DVDs and CDs from any part of the world. This is a huge advantage for someone like me who enjoys watching films from other countries. The inclusion of HDMI, USB, and TF card ports enables me to connect a broad variety of devices and media sources, and the support for 1080P HD playback assures that I will be able to watch my movies and shows with a visual quality that is really spectacular.

When we bought a new car I came the DVD player so we purchased this small one to fit right in the center console and it does a great job. It even picks up where I left off when the car was turned off.

I purchased this to use with a laptop and TVs. My fault, it doesn't actually claim that it works on laptops and doesn't, but be aware. No stars marked off for my stupidity. Pros: Size is great if you have little space Using HDMI cord, picture is Good. Not 4K "great" so if you are particular about this, this is not for you. If you are old school and good with something that looks like the TVs show you watched in the past (think Gilligan's Island or Buffy the Vampire Slayer) without the drop outs, but still with the slightly grainy quality, it's good and accurate to the quality of the DVD. Newer DVDs are also of appropriate quality. I accidentally turned it sideways. Kept playing, no issues. Remembers where you stopped. Easy setup for HDMI. Plays discs I have with some heavy duties scrapes on them (purchased second hand). This is the ONLY DVD player that will play those discs. That alone makes it a keeper for me. Cons: Cannot find a way to adjust the picture size properly on the dvd player. It has Normal ps, Normal LB and 16:9. How about 4:3 for those really old DVDs in CRT size? The two "NORMAL" sizes don't fix the image. My non mini DVD players will fix that. Yes, I often have to adjust the size on the TV, too, but I can't make the picture size work with 2 of 4 TVs. My non mini DVD players work with all of them. Player makes a"ticking" sound as it plays. If you have sensitive hearing, it will drive you insane. Remote is "slow". You press the button and it waits a beat before anything happens. At least mine does that. Bottom line: Good enough for average dvd play if you aren't picky about perfect pictures and don't mind or can place it where the ticking sound won't bother you. Standard small DVD players which aren't that much bigger these days are better (my non mini is only 3 inches wider and two inches deeper). That is plays DVDs with scrapes that other DVD players won't means I will keep it, but if it hadn't done that I would have returned it. It's just OK, IMO.

Small compact but functional. Attachment cables allow for connection to our minivan entertainment system so the kids can watch movies on long car trips. Have used for a few trips already and works great. Great product for the price.
